Avoid Nicole Culbertson at all costs. A client advocate was able to help me towards the end and I certainly appreciate the efforts of Mr. Myers. My husband and I are both in the military and the level of stress and poor ethic were we went through with VU was beyond. I really wish we didn't have to use them but it was too late to back out and risk losing our new home. Towards the end of the transaction we ended up with the opposite of what we agreed on and a much higher monthly payment. If you do decide to go with VU, watch out for their 'surprise' closing estimate calculations and rates just the Friday before you close and the whole team gone on some type of leave so they don't have to respond to any of your inquiries. You won't get slapped with an origination fee of that magnitude anywhere else and their ridiculously high closing costs. If you're military, run.

Every home purchase is unique due to different states, towns, and people involved. Working with agents can make or break the experience of the process. It is the people at the mortgage company that can make it easy or hard, and with Mike, it was smooth sailing from day 1 till closing day. I can't say it enough, i would recommend all to work with Mike.
