Hanna Schwartz and her team were really awesome and working
You all did an amazing job! There was good communication, and everyone made the home buying experience so much less stressful. Thank you for all your hard work. We couldn't recommend Veterans United enough!
Outstanding experience, once again! We first worked with our loan officer, Hunter Hukari back in 2019 for our very first home purchase, and when it came time to buy again, reaching back out to him was an absolute no-brainer. Just like the first time, Hunter and his team were amazing to work with.Hunter is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely awesome at what he does. He has a way of making the entire process feel completely seamless and stress-free. He is a massive asset to Veterans United and an invaluable resource for veteran home buyers. Because of Hunter, we will continue to be lifelong Veterans United customers. We can’t recommend him and his team highly enough!
I would recommend Veterans United.
It was a challenge going thru the loan process with Veterans United. But, well worth the experience. The loan officers ( Kimberly and Amber) assigned to me made a complicated process seem like a walk in the park. LOL! There was tons of paperwork to docu-sign and a mountain of documents needed to prove who I was and inspections on my future home to assure the homes' safety and worth. In the end, I was approved for my dream home with an awesome 3.5% interest rate. Their assistance didn't end there. They made sure my dream home would not make me house-poor by keeping my debt-to-income ratio in line. I had to be debt-free (including credit cards) to make the numbers even out.
They help you every step of the way. From making sure your credit score hits the minimum threshold to making sure every document you need to submit is correct.

This process has been amazing going through Veterans United. My team was absolutely amazing!
Everyone was more than willing to help and answer any questions I had. It was a very good experience.
All the people were very nice and made the process very good to me
My wife and I was and still is impressed with the customer service and help in buying our first home using Veterans United services. The care and respect given to veterans is platinum. They seem to care for the whole veteran and not just a number. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and if I had a question it was not a bother them if I called several times a day or throughout the week. And I fill that we had the best team Veteran United has. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It also should include Jimmy Stranz, Ashley Stratman and Corey Sublett. They made our first time home buying experience seamless. WHAT A TEAM!!!!! Thanks From The Williams Family
Veteransunited was with me all the through the whole process to get us into the home.
Rachel and Stephanie are the absolute best! We won't go to anyone else when it comes to getting a home loan! They have helped us with financing for 3 seperate moves and each time they are so considerate and hardworking we don't know how they get it all done! They really are the absolute best!
This is my fourth loan closing with Loan Officer Adam Craig, and once again, his performance was outstanding. Adam is an exceptional asset to Veterans United; he is proactive, highly communicative, and fights incredibly hard to ensure a successful closing. However, despite Adam’s excellent service, Senior Loan Coordinator Danielle Hays nearly ruined the entire experience and almost drove a loyal, repeat client away from your company. Danielle exhibited a severe lack of communication, a defensive and unprofessional attitude, and zero regard for client timelines. Because coordinators are salaried and do not rely on commissions, it was entirely clear that Danielle felt no personal accountability or incentive to handle my file with basic professionalism. Adam Craig is the only reason this transaction crossed the finish line, but Danielle Hays' constant friction and poor demeanor are a massive liability to your branch's reputation. Management needs to review her file handling immediately, as her behavior actively undermines the hard work of elite loan officers like Adam.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Caleb,
Thank you for your continued trust in Veterans United, and for recognizing Adam’s dedication throughout your homebuying experiences. I’m glad to hear he provided the proactive communication and support you’ve come to expect.
I’m very sorry to hear other parts of this experience left you feeling frustrated and unsupported. Communication and professionalism are incredibly important during the loan process, especially for returning clients, and I hate hearing that we missed the mark for you. I appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and I’d like the opportunity to learn more about your experience.
Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and messages sent outside those hours are typically responded to the next business day.
