This is my second experience with Veteran's United. I initially financed with them, and when refinancing became advisable in my situation I returned to them after carefully reviewing my options. I found them to be an excellent resource in navigating unfamiliar subjects.
Veterans United was a pleasure to work with. They matched my energy and desire to get into a home. The process was easily followed and well communicated. My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.

My Veterans United Team was exceptional. They worked with me throughout the process, which had many ups and downs.
All I had to do was tell VU I had a week to find a house, and they handled the rest. They provided us with a realtor who was absolutely fantastic, and our lending team took great care of us. We are blown away at how simple and painless they made the process of buying—even from a couple thousand miles away. I’m sure there are probably lower rates at smaller lenders but VU is really good at working with the challenges and idiosyncrasies of military life and that made it so much less stressful.
