Ryan and his team were so professional, responsive and courteous. The process of moving from state to state is so stressful but they helped to ease the stress by staying on top of all we needed. I was especially impressed when I was able to get a hold of them late in the day on Wednesday before thanksgiving.
Marcella did a great job of keeping all parties informed every step of the way. When I emailed her, she generally responded within 10 min which really help put our minds at ease. I will refer this group to my family and friends

Hannah Boyd is not on this survey but she was phenomenal!!! I'm not sure if she works under Reed, or in the same department but we dealt with her a majority of the time and she was absolutely fantastic and so quickly to respond. Such a sweetheart too which makes it a pleasant in such a stressful time. So please tell her we appreciate her and the amazing job she did!

Julie Cute was also extremely helpful and kind. Made a huge difference in the success of the whole process. Would highly recommend her involvement with a loan request. She was over the top helpful, and kept me up to date at all times. Thank you!


The last home I purchased in 2018 I went with VU for the loan and wasn't very happy with the loan process but I decided to give you a try again for the loan. I regret not going with DHI that had better terms on the loan but still I stayed with VU. I was was told a specific number for closing cost then 6 days before the original closing date I was still expecting the same amount then 4 days later that closing cost tripled. When I asked Carl why that is he stated because they figured that taxes wrong. Well as I explained I didn't have that amount of money to close and why am I being held to the new closing cost amount. When I quote people an estimate if I quote it wrong and the customer agrees guess what....we have to still charge them that amount. We don't state well now that the repairs are complete here's your cost tripled what the estimate is. They knew I had to be out of where I was living at by Dec 1st and was supposed to close on Nov 24th but the 22nd I was told the closing cost tripled. So either I'm stuck with staying with your company or starting the process all over again and going with a different lender and being homeless plus this home would be sold quickly. I had to close on the 29th because Carl was out of town and paperwork never got turned in until the last minute when it could've been turned in much much earlier. I will never go through this lender since that's how business is done and I intend to tell the thousands of friends I have on social media of how bad the service was. Several I've complained about have said that VU is one of the worst to work with but apparently I didn't know this information and didn't learn the first go around.
