We bought a condo back in 2021 with Ashley Khederian and everything was great. However where she really shined is the time of this review. We decided to try a VA loan through Navy Federal Credit Union because that's my main bank and I figured it would be even more streamline. How I couldn't have been more wrong. We have been looking for a long time for a cabin in a forest for like a year and half and finally found a property that checked all the boxes. Everything was great but the sellers needed to get a pre-approval letter to move forward. A week went by and the realtor said there was a couple more people coming to look at the same property and the pre-approval letter was no where to be found from Navy Fed. They kept saying it should be soon it should be soon. Getting frustrated I reached back out to Ashley and her team and they got a pre-approval the same day..... compared to Navy Fed (an approval did finally come in from Navy Fed 2 week).The process was simple and smooth because of Ashley and we got our dream place because everything is streamlined and efficient. If we didn't go through Ashley we probably would have lost our dream place to someone else and been stuck in Las Vegas in the 120 degree heat during summer.So I definitely can't stress this enough. If you have a place you really want don't go shopping around because if time is of the essence big names like Navy Federal might let you down
Everything was great from the moment I first reached out. People were quick to get in touch and share information with me, connecting me with the team I needed to find a house. Communication stayed quick and easy throughout the whole process.
I didnt have the greatest credit after waiting for VA claims for 13 yrs, but we started working on it in September of 2022 and by December of 2022 we were ready to purchase. We found and closed on perfect house in March of 2023

No home buyer enjoys applying for a mortgage because the process is inherently stressful and costly, regardless of how accommodating a loan institution may be. Overall, I was pleased with Veterans United (VU). And the reason why I chose them is because they are so highly rated for providing VA loans to veterans. (That would be me.)The worst experience that I had was with one VU coworker, named Kurt Saxton. He persisted at trying to bully me into bundling my car insurance with my new property insurance using one of the obscure insurance providers who are partnered with VU. It was so unnecessary because I already had excellent insurance with USAA which is a highly reputable company. Kurt even tried to convince me that I could not use USAA for my property insurance because USAA is not partnered with VU. After I reported to USAA what Kurt contended, I learned from USAA that Kurt had misled me. Kurt also tried to bully me into accepting an umbrella policy, in addition to property insurance. All of this was nonessential to qualifying me for a VA mortgage, especially since I already had USAA insurance, and USAA is the most reputable insurer in the country. Dealing with Kurt was a stressful waste of time. But for the fact that I needed a mortgage from VU, I would never have given Kurt the time of day. I dislike unnecessary high-pressure sales tactics being presented to me under the guise of trying to be "helpful", even after I had repeatedly told Kurt Saxton that I am not interested.
Top-notch team! I can't say enough great things about Brandon and his team. Buying a home seems intimidating and using your VA sounds even more daunting. Brandon made me question why I didn't use Veterans United sooner! He and his team- KEEPERS!
I would not recommend Veterans United to anyone. The way I was treated through the whole process as a first time home buyer was absurd. I was never able to get an actual answer. Always told “well this is just how it goes when buying a home.” Even was told at one point to “use google” when I was asking about something that my lender should have known the answer to or done their research to get me the appropriate answers. We received more information from the title company through the process than we did from Veteran’s United.
