Buying a home takes time and patience these days. I bid on at least five or more homes, but i did not win the bids. Rejection is hard.It is a tough home buying market right now. I would tell my fellow veterans to be really patient. Have all your required financial documentation available. Get pre-qualified. Be financially responsible. Put down as much earnest money as you possibly can. Go see as many houses as you can. If you do not win the bid, there is always next time. I saw some beautiful homes, and then I saw some much better beautiful homes.I felt really comfortable in all the homes I picked, but they were not meant to be my home. I found my forever home with the knowledge and assistance of Veterans United Home Loans, a great realtor agent, and with being financially responsible myself.May God Bless all the veterans and their families on THEIR path to home ownership. Thank you, Veterans United Home Loans again.Be patient veterans, your forever home is right down the street.Luevada C.

I will always recommend VU to friends and family.

We usually prefer to work locally and with small businesses because you usually get more attention and it’s easier to communicate in person. But Veterans United has been the easiest company we’ve ever worked with. We have bought 2 homes and refinanced 1 with them and have had no issues at all. The mortgage officers and their assistants are knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. From retired military to law enforcement now, our family is super busy, but they made the process quick and no stress. We are lifelong customers!

Kayla Kauffman left a lot to be desired. Often it did not appear that she knew what she was asking for or that it had already been relied to or discussed with others on the VU team
Response from Veterans United
Hi Denis, thank you for your open and honest feedback. Providing clear and effective communication is a top priority, and a member of our Client Advocate team is available to discuss your experience in greater detail. We are dedicated to making clear requests and assisting customers in providing documentation that is necessary for loan approval.
It was a long process but worthwhile. Please do all the to-do tasks and you will get there to your new home.

Definitely will recommend to others

love the way that we got things done

They were there every step of the process to make sure things were happening quickly. At the last minute they were able to accommodate the closing process for a power of attorney while my wife was out of the country.

Communication towards the end of my loan process wasn't as helpful or timely which caused uneasiness and unnecessary stress for me as a first-time homebuyer.
