Brian and his team were Awesome! They stayed on top of everything literally from the first phone call to closing day. Any questions I had, they had an answer for. Great experience. Everyone was professional and helpful. One thing I think would have been a good idea early in the process would have been if I had been given a ballpark figure for my closing costs. I wondered several times early in the process whether I was wasting everyone’s time.
The communication between lender and buyer could definitely be better, especially after closing. I was contacted by Pennymac regarding my first payment to them before I was contacted by VU regarding the first month’s payment being due, which caused another unplanned expense after the process. That combined with the failure to mention that my now ex wife who lives in another state would need to be present during the closing is just frustrating. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone who does not have a lot of patience, nor will I use it again in the future.
Veterans United was by far the best company that provides loans. Even if I wasn't a Veteran I would still use them. I've been a mortgage broker for over 25 years and I can honestly say that I was astounded at the dedication to their clients. They made sure everything was smooth and done with ease. Thank you!
