Ask how involved the customer wants to be in the process at the beginning. I understand everyone is different and therefore the question needs to be asked. Don’t assume that all laws and rules are the same cross-state. I can’t tell you how many times I heard, “this is how it is done in Texas”, while I was in Virginia which had different laws and rules for signing.
