Set a home-buying goal, work with the credit specialist if needed to ensure that you’re able to meet the qualifying criteria (credit score and income are very important). Know that the home buying process is never the same for everyone and Veterans United can get you into your home after you meet the qualifying criteria as long as you do your part.

If I could give them more than 10 stars, I would! I wish every business could be like they are. They treated me with dignity, respect and friendliness, with every step, they had my six, along with all the other numbers and made me feel like a real, live person instead of a case number. I am a widow as well as being a first time home buyer and based on other interactions I had with other businesses, honestly expected to have to fight against the stigma that a widow woman is low hanging fruit and must have lost 50 IQ points when her husband passed. I bless the day that I first contacted Veterans United because that sure wasn't the case here.
