We're sill waiting on our signed and notorized closing documents. The copies provided to us at closing didn't have signatures. We had a couple of credit errors reflecting on credit report since the onset of credit application that I discussed with Ross. He assured me that we finalized only one loan. I have disputed wrong SSN ending in 5186 and correction of current name and address with the Credit Bureaus.

The entire Veterans United team has been great to us, and at this point we would also like to extend our appreciation to Tyler Haddad, Misty Ransdell with a special note of thanks to Chelsea Krattli for being the great sales person she is in terms of getting us onboarding with VU.

Fantastic to work with! Everything went smoothly.

If you do choose VU, as a military member ask for a FINAL To-Do/requirement list ahead of time at the onslaught of the process. Ours kept changing, more and more document requirements kept being added. Also overseas service should not be an added thorn in your side, being that VU is military friendly, their underwriters should understand how we function, and live.
For example, as a starter, we began the loan process in early November and ended in Jan, therefore I provided initial documents as requested. Later I had to post another LEs, then another, 4 months of LES throughout the whole process, Why not say this up front or wait for the final? All these updates made it seem as if I was not in control of anything.
Another, and just as frustrating, I had to justify my overseas status multiple times, explaining my situation over and over - rewriting and updating almost the same statement again and again. "I live here because I am stationed here..." = unneeded stress for a "military friendly" service.
Response from Veterans United
Rene, thank you for sharing your feedback letting us know about your experience. While we cannot make up for the experience you had, it is important that delivering excellent communication remains a top priority for our team. A member of our Client Advocate team is available to you for more information and looking for ways we can improve. We want to make sure that all of our veteran's voices are heard and provided with the best service possible.
I wouldn't go anywhere else with my VA loan.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Alex felt like family towards the end. A+ in my book!

From our home buying experience with Veterans United, we really felt like they took care of us. VU made things easy as you go through the process, from which documents/information to provide and even assigning you a real estate agent, if you should need one. VU assigned us a very knowledgeable agent and we had an absolute pleasure working with our RA. Things went so smoothly that we got to close early! I can tell from the loan team I had that, they really do care about the veterans they are servicing. No negative experience whatsoever here!

I recommend Veterans United. I tried using a different company in the beginning, and that did not work out. Veterans United has a very professional approach that shows they value me as a veteran customer.

1 year ago we started our journey to being a homeowner, and every person involved from Becca Bailey and Shelbie Brumley who explained how to qualify for a loan and Colin and his team who were absolutely amazing to work with, made my experience easier than anything I had read about home buying. If anyone wants to buy a house and have a pleasant and professional experience, Veterans United is who they should contact. No other company I contacted seemed half as competent and educated as the folks at Veterans United.

I encourage all veterans to look into the VA Home Loan with Veterans United. The super easy steps will ensure that anyone can succeed in the home buying adventure.

Boston title company really put a bad taste in my mouth. However, I am truly grateful to everyone else that came together to help make my loan happen for me.

Wonderful experience in refinancing our VA loan. It was an absolute no brainer to refinance and take advantage of the low interest rates being offered . I went from a 4.5% with our previous lender to a 2.6% with Veterans United. I was very hesitant on which Lender to go with at first since several were offering a much lower rate than I currently had. So I did a lot of research on companies offering low interest rates and I decided to go with Veterans United even though I had two companies offering a slightly lower rate. I did this because I wanted a reputable Lender and one that I felt had stability. I’m very pleased with our decision and would highly recommend Veterans United for any of your VA home lending needs.

Amy Shufelberger and Denise Stroud did a good job keeping me informed and answering any questions I had. Thanks.

Veterans Untied is an awesome, well rounded company. I highly recommend them to any veteran/ active duty/ reservist that’s looking into buying a property. It was such a fast and easy transition for my family. Thanks again Veterans United
