Ms. Faren Birthisel is an outstanding, dedicated and responsive loan officer. She saved my first home purchasing deal from falling apart. It started out with me applying with another lender that tried to take advantage as I have no experience or guidance. That lender tried to increase my closing cost which I unilaterally did not have and most likely not be able to purchase my home and lose my earnest money deposit.
I found Veterans United Home Loan and Ms. Faren Birthisel reviewed my situation and understood what had to be done to salvage what the previous incompetent lender could not accomplish for a "VA LOAN". Ms. Birthisel took charge and guided me through the entire process completely and pain-"LESS"-ly. I literally did not have to worry at all. She would answer all of my questions in a timely matter (same day within minutes to an hour or the following day), even on the Eve of my closing she worked overtime (nothing to do with her but the other entities involved) she answered and supplied them with the necessary documents to ensure a successful and smooth closing. Every little detail that needed her attention she provided with exceptional, microscopic level and dedication to detail. Her professionalism is superb and remarkably outstanding. I suggest all Veterans applying for a VA LOAN to apply with Veterans United Home Loan and seek out Ms. Faren Birthisel as she is the person that you want to be watching your six. She is the one that you can count on to follow through, follow up and complete the task.

Veterans United said they didnt have paperwork that was already turned in (on multiple occasions) and it caused my closing date to be pushed back. Then when I went into sign the final documents they said my husband had to physically be here to sign even though I asked about that, as he lives on the other side of the country, and they said no his name would just be listed on the documents as he isnt the one purchasing the home. My realtor had also asked them about it and they told him that they would send my husband documents to sign, but never did, so we had to push back our date again until my husband flew in. They also didn't seem to bothered by the inconvenience to me it caused.

Overall good, but with room to improve.
The process took too way long I started this process in late Sept early Oct. My responses to documents needed were quick. Perhaps Covid 19 had an effect but still.
My wife's name was misspelled , The estimate on the loan was over thousand dollars different from the actual amount? I had to dig to find out why.
Like I said overall good but you can do better too. Alberto actions made me stay and not continue with PennyMac.
