Rocky start but worked out in the end

Little to no communication throughout the refinance process. I called and left messages on 4 different occasions and it took at least 48 hrs to receive a call back every time. Our original closing date was on Dec 1 and it was pushed back but no one ever told me. Dec 1 rolled around and nothing had happened so that's how I found out. I am currently in a position where I do not know with 100% certainty if my original loan has been paid off. It's the first of the month and my payment to lmy original loan is due ( maybe again I don't know). I called two days ago to try and get clarification on this issue and have not gotten a response yet. I understand this is a busy time rates are low and alot of people are wanting to refinance. I am happy with my new rate. The customer service has been good when I can actually talk with people but it is not easy to get in touch with anyone response times are to long. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt it's a time with very low rates and of course the holidays. But overall have not been happy with this process.
