I first planned on funding a house from my current bank, Navy Federal, however after doing my research and trying to get preapproved a little under a year ago I decided they were not a good fit for a home loan. I read and researched many other lenders, and finally decides on Veterans United...I am so glad I did. The whole process was stress free and communication was excellent. If I need another home loan I will choose Veterans United and will readily recommend to anyone willing to listen!
The pre approval was the same day I applied, and everything else went so smooth! I had a lot of questions and concerns along the way, and Fahad was able to answer them with no hesitation, and re assure me that we was going to get to closing. That's exactly what happened! He even called me on his day off from home, when he saw we got the Final Approval. Fahad and his team went above and beyond for my new house, and I couldnt be more happy with the process. When all else fails, turn to Veterans United.
Most of the process was smooth and easy. Erin, Shaunte and Andrew were friendly, approachable, and easily reachable for communications and updated. The shadow to the process came on closing day. The loan officer did not communicate with us about what to expect and timeline for closing. Our Title Agency said it usually takes about an hour for funding, yet it took Veterans United over 4 hours. If that is the norm, it would have been extremely helpful if the loan officer had communicated that with us ahead of time. We attempted to obtain updates later in the day, as well as the Title Agency, and received no response from the loan officer as to what was going on. We did not even get a congratulations or notification of funding from the loan officer or anyone at Veterans United once it was all set. Outside of the disappointment we felt due to the lack of communication and transparency on closing day, we were satisfied with the rest of the process.
