A great company to use if you want your hand held aggressively some steps of the way while being seemingly ignored during others. They seem to have little understanding of the complexities associated with a short sale, and will expect you to rush rush rush their deadlines while acting nonchalantly when you need something done on a timeline. For a company that seemingly specialized in VA loans, they don’t seem to fully grasp that military members don’t always operate on a M-F, 9-5 schedule, like they do, and frequently act annoyed/confused when you let them know that certain tasks will be accomplished as soon as a military member working 12 hour night shifts is able to review them.I suppose the only positive aspect of the experience was the relatively low interest rate (after not explaining rate buy down with points and that this was how we record our low rate), and the fantastic realtor that they recommended. Otherwise, a mediocre experience, at best.
Yes, I would definitely recommend the team I had to help me maneuverer through the homebuying process. If I had to do it over again, I would want the same team. And Jeremy, was phenomenal, kind, understanding and I felt so confident throughout each phase of the loan. I didn't know about VU, but from this point on I will recommend all I encounter who wants to buy a home to VU.
We could not have asked for a better experience. They treated us like people and not like an accountant. They 20 stars all day long!!
Very professional and accommodating to me and my family.
Vincent was great to work with throughout the entire home-buying process. I was out of state for much of the closing process, and he stayed responsive, kept everything moving, and was always willing to answer my questions and walk me through the numbers. There were a lot of moving pieces, but Vincent made the financing side of the process straightforward and manageable. I’m very happy with how everything came together and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a home loan. Thanks again, Vincent!
The whole VU Team was a Godsent! Everything was easier with them and I felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything because they made sure they kept me updated, communicated frequently, and checked in on me. From the credit consultant (Brett), the loan specialist (Alex), the loan coordinator (Jaclyn) , the concierge (Nicky), and lastly my loan officer (Lance). They connected me with an amazing realtor, great resources to get things set up like security, WiFi, utility providers, etc. I can go on and on. Overall, I highly recommend if you want peace of mind through the home buying process!
Kody and Brendan were great. They battled hard for me at every step of the way to make my American dream of home ownership come true! Veterans United really has veterans’ best interest at heart and went above and beyond to help me! I won’t forget that.
Taylor was amazing, I wouldn’t want anyone else on my side. She made the process very smooth and easy, she answered all my questions and helped me become a homeowner. She’s great, highly recommend to have her in your corner during your home buying process.

Mike was great and the whole process was fast and easy.
I have observed everyone involved with helping me, go above and beyond, to help me, without any Anxioty, or Grief! Thanks to everyone that made my transition from no Home to a Fortress!

Justin was amazing

Always returned phone calls
The whole experience was excellent
Would highly recommend for using for your VA loan
They were awesome and helpful at every thing that popped up
Outstanding team lead by Nicole Culbertson!
The process was so smooth and everyone on my team worked really hard to make my experience easy and to save me money. I appreciate their guidance and their efforts. They all were available and communicating throughout all hours of the day to get me on track for closing even though i had difficult working hours.
Honestly, be prepared for an extreme lack of communication.
Especially if you are a first time home buy.Veteran United absolutely dropped the ball and pulled the wool over our eyes during the home buying process. Kept saying "You're getting cash back" which was a total ruse. They will also constantly defect on "you checked a box" which doesn't explain anything at all or actually talk about what you are looking at. So expect to go over that closing cause they aren't going to call you or email in regards to closing documents and etc. They will also send you all the documents the day before closing like they did me. I can assure this is case many other veteran. At the very end on closing day, we were blinded side with Taxes that were escrowed from seller. They were used at to help cover closing cost. That money we were getting back was taxes owed at end of the year and I now have to make up the difference. Veteran United made that decision for me versus giving me the option of differing tax to cover and paying closing cost or doing that option they decided.None of this was explained until we closed.I would heavily weigh your options with other vendor as Veterans United really didn't care that what was a special day was totally ruined by lack of communication leading to closing.
