Well we are here to tell y'all, the team with Veterans United, Jamie Hughes and Connor Haxel walked us through every step and answered patiently all my crazy answers. I have a tendency to over think things. Preapproval process, using the VU website with our own link for a to do list and working in conjunction with the real estate agent who happened to be in Alabama, we relocated from Florida. Last year we had a very unfortunate experience with another Veteran Mortgage company. When contacted Veterans United, we were not sure what to expect. Glenn’s interactions with us put our apprehensions to rest. Over the course of a couple of hours on the phone with him we were pre-approved to begin our search for a new home. Veterans United is an excellent organization for veterans to use in obtaining a home loan. My experience, I believe ,was not a normal one due to the sub par and unduly lengthy job performance of an independent appraiser contracted by the VA. His displayed lack of a "sense of urgency" and the need to correct his appraisal caused an unnecessary delay in final underwriters approval. Such sub par performance should have consequences but probably will not.
This has been a wonderful experience. They all really know how to take care of Veterans.
This is our second time using Veterans Home Loans. Fantastic experience both times.
If you are using a VA loan I would definitely work with these people. We have used ours in years past but, this experience was by far the best and smoothest.
