I considered other mortgage companies and did plenty of research and read many reviews. We decided to go with Veterans United because they specialize specifically in loans for Veterans. Many companies who offer home loans to veterans may not be fully knowledgeable and familiar with all the paperwork, etc. I didn't want to waste time. Also, the low rate and no down payment was a selling point for us.
