I believe that working with my loan officer, Ryan, and my realtor, Chad, really made this process seamless and smooth. They were almost always available by phone or email to answer any questions I had and the only real issue that arose was a delay in closing (by 72 hours) due to some paperwork processing error. Overall, I had a very good experience and I would recommend this team and company to anyone! I shopped around plenty before choosing my lender and I am very glad I chose Veterans United.

If you have struggled with credit in the past and don't think you will ever have the opportunity to buy a home, think again! My husband and I felt overwhelmed. Even though we had paid all of our bills on time and never missed a rent payment, my credit had taken a hard hit before I met my husband when I was a single mother. On a whim, we decided to apply through Veterans United and although we were initially denied, they offered an alternative that would help to improve our credit; The Lighthouse Program - a totally FREE program which worked closely with us to help us improve our credit. We were committed to the act of improving our credit either way so we took the dive and never looked back! Within a relatively short period of time, our credit had improved to the point of being granted a preapproval! At this point, we met two of the most incredible loan officers who went above and beyond my greatest expectations. Ben and Kat were superstars! Not only incredibly friendly but also always quick to respond! As first time home buyers, they made the process so much easier to understand and didn't hesitate to go above and beyond in helping us understand concepts which likely would seem trivial to seasoned home buyers. From the very start to the finally got there ending, the whole team at Veterans United had our back the entire way. My father was ill and passed away during this process and I was gone for a month during this time - their compassion and empathy towards me and my family was above and beyond the call of duty. The beautiful flowers, blanket and engraved wind chimes with my fathers name and time of service was just overwhelming to me. That act alone let me know that this was a team who cared.And getting almost there and having to deal with ignorant sellers who stalled the process as well. We jumped the hurdles and made it thru! Veterans United, if you work with Cameron and his team, are amazing and will work their hardest to meet deadlines and provide outstanding customer service 100% of the way. As a manager in the customer service field, I was extremely relieved and grateful to have been connected with a determined and hardworking individual but then his team proved to also be quite resourceful. I would say the only negative experience was with “T” or Taurean because he never told us he would no longer be working on out loan. I wish he would not have dropped us and changed departments without notice. It almost drove us to another lender.
