My experience was one of disappointment at the information on my loan documents being incorrect and when pointed out to the loan officer it was taken very lightly. There was confusion regarding the rates in the beginning of the loan process. I noticed my business address was incorrect and I was told they just took the first one they found on the internet, was not corrected. Information added to my liabilities that was not a liability that existed for me, was not corrected. Then there was an issue with my husband signing papers that were not necessary and that had to be corrected. Lastly, there was an issue with the disclosure process trigger in the new system that caused not only all new documents to be issued and the 7 day Compliance timeframe reinstated which in turn pushed our closing date back approximately 10 days, not to mention all the frustration I experienced. All of this was brought to the attention of the manager and the answer was "we all make mistakes".
I'm very understanding in that "yes' we all do make mistakes at times. However it's the repercussion these mistakes have on the customer that was not handled very empathetically or professionally. It seemed the details of the documents were not important to the folks working on them. This is important to the customer.
My overall experience was very surprising, stressful, and one of disbelief at the nonchalance of the folks working on one of the most important life purchases that a customer will make. I hope my experience is used as a training situation for these folks as I'm sure there are many other customers that are not as aware as I was of reviewing my documents and these "details" are overlooked.
The man assigned to us was with ReMax. Jordaan Sibin was terrible! he told me what I wanted was no way possiblle. argued with me the whole time! But when he disrespected my wife, I flipped out. I call Dan and he was furious. He told me not to worry about it that he would handle it. I then took matters into my own hands and told Dan that I would handle it. I did what Jordaan said couldnt be done and did it in 24 hours. I just thank the good LORD that I had Daniel Lowes working on my side. You folks at Veterans United should be thankful
you have a man as professional and ernest as Daniel. He looks after his clients as if they are family and will not let anyone take advantage of them. I have bought many homes in my life and this one was by far the easiest and smoothest I have ever had. I have already recommended Daniel Lowes someone. My personal thanks to Verterans United and Daniel Lowes for making our purchase so smooth and happy. I have been in sales and sales management all my life, and a business owner and it is a great pleasure to see someone else take PRIDE in what they do.
I want to thank Blake and Tyler for doing an outstanding job with getting me finance and becoming a homeowner. I could not do this without the both of you, and I can't explain how joyful that I am today. The both of you were always professional and considerate to me . I wish you both nothing but success. Kyle Gardner was outstanding in the whole process! Kyle kept in touch with me almost daily, and helped me push threw any speed bumps throughout the way. He was encouraging throughout the process and made it much more relaxed for me. This was my second home purchase and this by far was the best experience of home buying because of Kyle. We had some issues with the realtor, but Kyle took the lead and followed up and continued to push so that we would close on time and we wouldn't have any issues. It was excellent experience being able to have Kyle as my loan officer and will use him again!
This was a great experience and it is mainly due to Aarons hard work. He definitely went above and beyond for us.
I was a long and rough process but I made it. I recommend that you try to make the process much smoother and not as long and rough.
I want to thank Ben for being there all through the process and answering any questions I threw at him.
Pathetic describes the performance of VU. A COMPLETE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE when funding a VA loan. I have told everyone I meet at the Asheville VA if thy are thinking of getting a VA home loan to stay as far away from Veterans United as they can. I have advised them to find another finance company to use when using their VA home loan.
It seems that your people are more than just being well trained. You have professionals that actually care about what they are doing, why they are doing it, and who they are doing it for! My life long dream has finally come true! What a significant difference Veterans United Home Loans has been for me! Keep doing what you are doing. This country needs companies like yours!
I have to give lots of credit to Courtney Mueller who was essential in providing me timely information and guiding me through the entire lending process. She was very professional, courteous, and genuinely friendly. She made herself available even late at night to answer my questions, I appreciated that.
The lighthouse program is awesome for helping people with their credit, and I am so grateful for this program. I want to thank every one at Veterans United, you people are awesome, and I will recommend your company to everyone I know.
If it were not for Leanna Moss I probably would have chosen another company to seek funding for my new home. She really was that great!
Great overall experience!
This entire process started years ago, (11/2 yr to 2 yrs). Yet, Tiffany Haskamp, continued to assist us throughout this process. She answered our questions professionally and in a timely manner. She very knowledgeably guided us on how we could begin to and finally get ourselves in a financial position so that VUHL could assist us in purchasing a new home. Once, she helped us reach our goal she seamlessly transferred us to Daniel Lowe.
Daniel Lowe immediately continued the assist us with the same standard of customer service as Tiffany had previous established. He very knowledgeably guided us on what we needed to do (submit written documentation) and finally get ourselves in position so that VUHL could assist us in purchasing a new home. Once,he helped us reach our goal he seamlessly transferred us to Maggie Stegeman.
Maggie Stegeman immediately continued the assist us with the same standard of customer service as Tiffany and Daniel had previously established. She linked us with our AWESOME Realtor Linda Wood.
Linda Wood immediately continued the assist us with the same standard of customer service as Tiffany Daniel and Maggie had previously established. Linda walked with us throughout the entire process of locating our new home, getting it inspected, making sure everything in reference to our new home was up to VUHL and the VA's standard prior to submitting our offer, and related loan application documentation.
Our experience of working with the above named reps. of VUHL was conducted in a very streamlined, professional manner. We would definitely recommend them all.
