It took about six months to find the right house for my family. I submitted two homes for authorization and they both were disqualified by home inspections. His team was very encouraging and patient in rewriting the other contracts.
Your company uses UPS overnight. Just to share information many people will not do business unless it's sent through the Postal Service. Many companys that are not on the up and up use UPS or Fed-X because it is a common practice to avoid possible fedral charges for crimes commited . This practice sends red flags that a company is not on the up and up.
Your company could gain more business by using the USPS. It offers the Postal Inspection Service as a security check!
I have sang the praises of Veteran's United to quite a few people through this process. Eric and his team were amazing. I know this process would not have been as smooth and comfortable for me if it weren't for their knowledge and professionalism. If this turns out not to be my forever home, I will definitely be back!
On Aug. 18th we found out we found be closing on Sept. 19th and was told by our loan agent to pick put an interest rate. On Aug. 18th we picked out an interest rate that would give us a lender credit of $323.58. A week later we asked if we would be able to close on Sept 18th instead due to the movers not working on the weekend, and we're told it would be ok. We ask several times was there anything that was needing and each time nope we are good you will close on the 18th. Tues. Sept. 16th we were told to get additional information, which was fine we did that. The next day we were asked for more info at 11:40am and was told they needed it by noon or the underwriter was moving on. Took care of that and at noon we got another email wanting more info, why would I be asked for information at the time the underwriter was moving on? Needless to say we got that sent in anyway. About the same time I receive a document I needed to accept, not being able to get into the system I called our agent and was told to accept they had to extend our rate. When the documents printed out we no longer we're receiving our lender credit of getting the $323.58, at this time I was told that had to use the getting the $323.58 to extend the rate. We closed on the 19th while the movers were at our house with our realitor. Why would the rate need to be extended if we closed on the original date, why were we never told about a fee, and why was the fee coincidently the same amount???
Give Michelle a raise, she deserves it!! Amanda deserves one too!

This was the second time I used Matt to secure a loan through VU. The first time, Matt was amazing. He was quick to respond, full of information, helpful, reassuring, etc. I recommended him to EVERYONE. This time, however, my experience was a lot different and very frustrating. I was looking to close on the new house approximately 2 weeks prior to the date on the contract. My realtor and I both sent Matt many emails asking if this would be possible, as I was closing for the sale of my house early and the seller of the new house had a vacation planned. Depending on when we would close would determine what I was going to do with my household belongings, as I could either be without a home for a day or two or for several weeks, depending on what Matt thought. However, we could not get Matt to respond or give us a date when he thought we could close. It was extremely frustrating (and disappointing!) to experience such a break in communication. Selling and buying a house concurrently is very stressful, and being unsure of my housing status just made my stress worse. Matt finally responded when the title company said they had everything ready for an early close. He responded with something about the date on the contract said we would close in mid-August. I nearly lost it when I read that email, as both Jeanette and I had emailed him repeatedly about closing early! I was VERY upset.
In the end, Matt managed to still get me an earlier close than what was in the contract, but it was not without a LOT of frustration. I told my realtor that I would never recommend Matt to anyone else after this experience, and that going forward, it would make me hesitant to recommend Veterans United, in general. I was disappointed, because, as I mentioned, Matt provided such stellar service when I bought my house in 2012. Overall, I know that my experience was not a nightmare story you read about online: Matt was prompt in asking me for documents, he ordered my VA inspection in a timely manner, and I still managed an earlier than contracted close, however, the stress involved in not being able to get him to respond to my emails really soured my experience.
Good experience but needed more direct contact for questions. Lots of voicemails and emails that took long to respond.
Mike Stalling did a great job! He was very professional and smoothed the entire process. The ability to so much of the process online/email made it much easier. Great job!!
Lance and his assistant were very friendly and knowledgeable. They guided us through the lengthy process.
Everyone that I've dealt with at Veterans United was pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all, very compassionate to my situation. When I had concerns, I was gotten back to within minutes with an answer. I don't think I could have gotten two better loan specialists than Ted and Caleb. They both helped me a lot during what could have been a very stressful step in my life.
Ellie did a great job addressing our concerns and keeping us informed on what was going on with the loan process.
This sounds sappy , but there are not words to tell you how great this group is and how great they make the experience. They take great pride in the job they do and they do it very well. I have already given their name to my neighbor. If you ever need a recommendation, let us know. At the end of this experience, I feel as if they are friends. After the loan was closed, they called to congratulate us and wish us well. We love the insurance company they said they have used. That was also done very nicely. No pressure , just something we might check out. They are perfection in action.
Keep doing whatever you are doing to make happy employees.
Real estate agent very professional and would recommend her for anyone
informed me of any issues in a timely manner
Overall, couldn't be happier.
I couldn't be more pleased with Veterans United. You should take great pride in your service and your entire team!
With a lot of experiences with Mortgage companies in the past, I thought I knew good service. I didn't. Not until I was teamed up with Luke and Amber. My wife is in the mortgage business and because of the reviews and services provided, we decided to use VU over her company, or our current Wells Fargo. Compared to other companies, Luke and Amber's response time was amazing. Luke tackled any issues head on. Amber was so quick with responses, we praised her to others. I have no complaints. My wife has no complaints. That is rare. Something always goes wrong when we are closing on a house. Not this time. Everyone was on their game, and that never happens. I really want to thank Luke for making me feel like I did not have to use VU. That I had a choice. He just made it the best choice! Amber was very amazing too. Please award them both for such great service. 7 loans in my 40 years, and this was the best one yet!
