This was my second time using Veterans United. The process was great from start to finish both times. I would highly recommend using them.
The team was awesome I have no complaints about my team whatsoever. But underwriting was a nightmare. The worse experience I have ever had in my life. They would ask for info that they already had just didn't loom for it I would have to high light it and send it to them again. We were given a clear to close went to closing and they refused to send the paperwork be cause of the way something was worse on the reinspection. We had to get a structural engineer to go aout and approve something because no one was available. I had to rent the uhaul for the weekend because my stuff was already packed up and loaded and they would not send the paperwork till Monday which left me short on cash because they told me to go ahead and pay closing on Thursday so I could close on Friday. I had to pay the guys I had helping extra for the wait time on Friday then pay them extra to come back on Monday because they had another move already scheduled do I had to pay them extra for them working late into the night cause if it didn't get the uhaul back by 11:59pm I had to pay for another day and would incur a late fee because some one else had it book and was picking it up. Underwriting was a complete failure and the worse process I have ever been through, and they made it way more stressful then it need to be with their inability to decern information, lack of communication, apparent disregard for time, and inability to operate and conduct business in a different time zone then their own. If it wasn't for my team being so awesome I would have given veterans united the worse review I have ever given. Please fix this. Cause if this is the way vets are going to be treated then please change your name. We don't deserve the stress and mental anguish caused by your underwriting department, most of us have been through enough.
This is the second time unfortunately that I had to refinance my home but this type I also got rid of pretty much all of my debt in doing so. I contacted them this passes time because of the great service!!!
I can't imagine ever purchasing another home without Veterans United by my side. They made the process easy, understandable and no pressure. I knew exactly what I could afford before I even started the journey. With the exception of inspection cost, I really did buy my house with NO MONEY DOWN!! I couldn't have done it without my loan officer Kody Gilbow and his team. Thank you for the gifts and your welcomed to stop by any time!
Thank you for a great experience and all of your help it truly changed my life
Awesome team! Would recommend to anyone. They get the job done and always keeping you in the know.
Nick was also really helpful we put a lot on the plate for him and Matthew and really happy they pulled it through for us.
I can say that the process of earning two VA Loans has been motivating to me re: staying on top of your way of living. Additionally, I am more thankful and humbled by the fact that I am a Vet!
Customer service needs to return to America. We are not here to lay money at your feet and without the customer no one makes money or has a job. Deals should be fair and reasonable for all.Should not be one sided. I do not work for the loan/deal and should be supported and informed thru out process
Response from Veterans United
Hi Joan,

Your concerns are very important, and I understand how frustrating it can be when you feel unsupported and uninformed throughout such a significant process.

Veterans United was great and on point with every part of our home buying experience I would recommend Amanda and Jessi to anyone wanting a very pain free experience.
I really appreciate the team working with me and giving me clear objectives to finish the process. Being overseas during this process was a challenge, but I’m extremely satisfied with how it all was handled.
Veterans United is the quintessential example of an agency that takes care of and provides its clients with the best outcome. Veterans United ensured we were well informed and educated my wife and me on all the inner machinations of purchasing our first home.
Over the course of the last few months this team has been nothing short of spectacular! I didn't have a realtor and every member of the team from Nichole, Phoebe, and Mason were very responsive (well until Mason decided he needed to get married!) HaHa! JK Mason reminded me multiple times he will be taking a few days off and briefed Bettina where we were in the house buying process, provided me her contact info and she stepped in with out missing a beat. I couldn't have asked for a more professional team. Thank You all! I love the house and congratulations Mason!!
I honestly could not speak highly enough of the team assembled to walk us through this process. The thoughtfulness was apparent in every step, even down to the sweet gifts that included items for our little monsters! I will recommend this team to anyone who asks and even those that don’t! Thank you Julie,Gabe, Melissa, and Shanellen for making this look and feel so simple!
This whole experience was such a blessing and I’m grateful for the team!
I really enjoyed how they broke it down into little pieces for me to bite off a little at a time. I had a lot going on and they were really patient and allowed me to look at things from different perspectives. I am very ADD so giving me time to process information was the key.
