What a great team!

Awesome individuals that take care of every aspect of buying a home, and every decision is up to you!

House feels like it is a lemon, confused on how it passed inspection. Water main seal broken, ac unit broken, multiple doors missing completely from the home as well as 4 taken off hinges. Home buying process also did not go well. Realtor would never answer phone and still doesn’t. Closing costs changed 5 times, with 3 of those being within 7 days of closing. On top of that to have to pay over $2000 in repair costs as soon as I move in is absolutely not ok. We feel let down. Also went over the amount that we said we felt comfortable with monthly but at that point less than a week from closing we felt that we had no other option as we absolutely required housing being that we already on the way there and had no other options at that point. We jumped through every hoop we were asked to jump through however we do not feel the same about the due diligence of our house being looked into. On top of all the issues of the house mechanically the house was absolutely disgusting and filthy when we moved in as well which was another let down. Massive balls of hairs in drains, blood stains in the shower, dirt and dust everywhere etc etc. I was super excited to buy my first home with me being the main buyer but I feel taken advantage of and like we’ve been left in the dust now and now all these problems that clearly existed before we bought the house are just now OUR problems and that is very frustrating and saddening.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Christopher,
I’m truly sorry to hear how your first homebuying experience turned out. I can only imagine how disheartening it is to be so excited about your first home, only to face mechanical issues, unexpected repair costs, and a home that wasn’t move-in ready. That’s not the experience we want for anyone, and I understand why you feel let down.
I also hear your concerns about the changes to closing costs and the monthly payment you felt pressured to accept so close to closing. While the VA appraisal process is designed to assess value at a surface level, it doesn’t replace a full home inspection, which is the best way to identify repairs before closing. That doesn’t make your situation any less frustrating, and I’d like to take a closer look at your file to understand everything that happened.
Please reach out to my team directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. If you contact us outside those hours, we’ll get back to you the next business day.

So glad I had this Team working for me. Everyone made sure they did 100%.

They made it simple as ever ... even with all my doubt they got the job done

yes I would recommend VU and I did to my daughter.

VU made every step incredibly easy and easy to understand. It’s hard not to recommend to anyone willing to listen but will always recommend to any vet/service member looking for a house

I would definitely recommend Veterans United to anyone who qualifies for a VA loan. They are the simple choice for those eligible, offering an easy, straightforward process and quick responses at every step. Everything was handled in a streamlined way, and I was able to complete the entire process in less than a month. I highly recommend Veterans United.

I am so grateful to VU, our lender Jessica Vomund, and Tim Martens our real estate agent for all their hard work and dedication. They together truly helped make my husband's, mine, and our family's dreams come true! With their help and dedication, we have once again been truly blessed and are so very grateful.

I can’t thank Josh, Anthony and the whole team enough for getting me into a house. They made it easy and stress free as possible. I would highly recommend using them for veterans trying to buy a house of their own.
Thank you again for all of your guys help!!
