There were a few requirements from underwriting that did not apply to me such as a 1099 for untaxed retirement income that had me chasing my tail for a while that I feel that a company that specializes in veteran home loans should have known about.
Veterans United team ALL worked hard to make our experience easy and less stressful. They were always available and if after hours, they got back with us the next day. We have bought before using our VA benefits and the experience in the past hasn't been great. I was able to get a better interest rate, but that required me have to consult with other lenders. That process should have been streamlined to ensure that all candidates are getting the best interest. The final contact is confusing as it relates to the price of the incentives and down payment being added back taking the prices of the up to $592K. I am elated to have purchased a home, but still wish for future buyers a more streamline process that is both honest and rewarding.
