I can't say enough about this organization. I highly recommend to anyone, not just Veterans, considering them as your lender. My team worked tirelessly to keep me informed and on-track through the whole process. They also know how to dazzle the customer. Unexpectedly I received a home buyers survival kit to start the process and a handmade wooden Old Glory plaque made by another Vet for my home. A very nice touch. Many thanks to John, Kylie, and my utilities coordinator for getting me across the closing finish line, and all the personalized attention along the way.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with VU from start to finish was excellent.

If you’re in the process of buying a home look no farther, I promise she will not disappoint. I had a grand experience working with her and the team.

I have been originating loans since 1990. The lenders I use on a regular basis have "overlays" to the properties they will loan on which prevented me from using them. VU did not.
VU appears to be a large retail lender and as such works in their own fashion. There is very little dialog if any between the loan originator and client. I review pricing with my clients. Here that was not done. In fact, someone took it upon themselves to increase my loan amount by $15,000.00 and never informed me until I received a new closing disclosure. The time it took to make contact with the LO to make the corrections was adversely affecting the funding of the loan. It should be stated here the proceeds of the refinance were being used to pay off an ex-wife and per the court documents if the loan did not fund in time to get her payoff by a certain date the property was to be listed for sale. This is not a good position to be in. I requested to have the new loan documents redrawn that day so I would meet the time line. I was told that was not possible. As indicated I have been originating loans for over 31 years and it is possible for lenders to make accommodations when necessary. VU would not which cause a delay that put me in jeopardy of having to list my property for sale. It wasn't that they couldn't it was that they wouldn't. And of course you can't speak to a supervisor or anyone that would have the authority to accommodate the request.
