Austin Butler with Veterans United was an INCREDIBLE partner to work with in the purchase of our home. As first time home buyers, Austin was a fantastic resource for the myriad of questions I had throughout the process and was always available. Over a weekend where we were planning on viewing several properties but did not anticipate making any offers, Austin worked late on a Friday night to get us our pre-approval letter just in case we wanted to make an offer over the weekend (and sure enough, we did!). At closing, Austin was present to answer any last minute questions and even brought a house warming gift and card, a personal touch not expected but greatly appreciated. Veterans United Home Loans is an amazing company to assist Veterans like myself in this home buying process. My husband and I have been told that we will not be in a position to purchase a home for a long time by several other home loan programs. We were so discouraged and thought that we will have to rent homes forever. The first time I had contact with Shannon in the Lighthouse Program, I felt a sense of support immediately. Shannon was able to assist us in creating a plan over a 12 month period to move us towards home ownership. Once we were in a position to qualify for a loan, Shannon immediately connected us to a local office to start the process of buying a home. We were able to secure a preapproval in about 2 weeks. Rebekah Emerick was able to assist us in purchasing our first home in about a 60 day time period. The process was surprising painless, and I know that it was all because Rebekah and her team worked extremely hard to make our dreams come true. Jerry and his entire team stayed in touch, long before I was prepared. They told me what steps to take at each point. They weren't bothersome though. It was like having a best friend keeping in touch. If I had a question, they had an answer. Even our realtor said that from now on he would recommend Veterans United and Jerry Landry as he has never had a veteran loan that went so smoothly. I am still pinching myself because it is hard to believe how
easy it was. I should mention that I never thought I would qualify and have a difficult time understanding things like this. So, Veterans United had their work cut out for them.
