Overall Veterans United was great, Jackson was super helpful, my wife and I have very busy schedules and Jackson was very accommodating to that and any question we had he always made time to explain it better. This was our first time buying a house and Veterans United really helped explain everything thoroughly so we were able to have a smooth process.
Chance (and Tyler) worked so hard to keep us on track with the loan process. We had many questions because we were first time home buyers but he remained patient with us and answered all our questions. He is very knowledgeable and stayed positive the whole time. There are times we doubted ourselves but he believed in us and helped us all the way to the very end. We truly appreciate the team's hard work in helping us make our dreams come true! We weren't working with a realtor yet, so he even arranged a meeting with a local realtor in the Norfolk area. She was fantastic, and they worked together seamlessly throughout the entire process! Phil was so quick to get back to us, answer questions, and was always thorough in his explanations and updates. He worked on several hurdles to get us into the final closing, and went to great lengths to ensure that we were in our new home before Christmas! We really appreciate all of his team's hard work. There are some issues with VU systems timing out as I try to read the documents. Also the insurance piece was an annoyance. I was still shopping and VU for whatever reason auto closed it and put their own insurance in. In fact I got a text message this morning thanking me for choosing VU insurance. I also got a call yesterday saying I had to sign a statement that I had declined VU insurance. I informed the lady my loan had already closed, but send it to me and I'll sign it. Nothing ever came.

Ellis was really fantastic, in all honesty. This was my first rodeo at home buying and from day 1 he was phenomenal. Whenever l had questions, concerns, worries, needed an explanation, he was always there to assist me.
There were times l actually felt l was maybe being annoying or overwhelming him, but he never gave that impression at all.
