I am a first-time home buyer, and my Veteran United team was Jennifer Heishaman and Shannon Brown, and they did an amazing job. They were there whenever I had questions or issues. There were a few concerns I had, as no business is perfect. A family member told me about Veterans United because of the ease of use of their services which is true. I did my research and they were rated very high with the help and knowledge that they provide to all veteran, so I was excited to work with them as I am a disabled veteran. With that, no one explained to me about the benefits my home state (Virginia) provides to disable veteran when buying and owning a house. When I brought this up from doing my own research that was able to redo my paperwork to get me a lower mortgage and paying a lower closing close. So, I think they should know all the benefits of the state where the veteran is buying the house. I also think they should do a post interview where they go everything and check on the veteran to make sure they know the next steps and how they are feeling about the purchase especially when it's a first-time home buyer. As I said these are minor issues, and overall, it was an amazing experience. I was able to get a good rate; they help me found saving wherever they could. The serve was fast and smooth. Yes, I would use Veteran United again. Thank you for helping me.
My whole team was amazing. In the spot. Immediate response to most inquiries. Fought for me on most items. Would 100% recommend to any veteran looking for a quick, smooth and amazing buyers experience!
Sara and Danielle have become huge names in our NEW home. Unforgettable and personal in the best way possible. The endless phone calls, updates, requests, questions, etc and they were there with us every step of the way. Never made us feel like we were burdens or undeserving of a home. They really were our voices in getting this approval and I couldn’t have asked for a better team.
People were very friendly and helpful. They sent a welcome box to new home. By what was in it they remembered and paid attention to all conversations. Was highly impressed
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, I WAS LOST TO HOW TO DO ANYTHING. SUPPOSEDLY EVERYTHING WORKED OUT GOOD.

Working with Veterans United and Matt Landis was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had throughout a major life process. Buying a home can be stressful, especially with a cross-country move, but Matt made everything feel organized, transparent, and manageable from start to finish.Communication was outstanding the entire way through. Matt was always available to answer questions, explain numbers clearly, and help us understand every step of the VA loan process without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. He was proactive, professional, and genuinely cared about helping our family get into the right home with the best possible outcome.Veterans United’s system was also incredibly smooth and easy to use. The to-do list, document uploads, updates, and coordination between everyone involved made the process much less overwhelming than we expected. As a veteran, I really appreciated working with a team that understands military families and the unique challenges that can come with relocating and financing a home. We ended up in a home we absolutely love, and a huge part of that is thanks to Matt and the Veterans United team.Could not recommend them more highly.
My team was great! Ensured I was well taken care of, I honestly had peace of mind through the entire process with how thorough and streamline they made this process! Horace and Kristine were awesome! Thank you!
Outstanding all the way through the process of helping me with my purchase of my home.
My three-hour closing was unacceptable. There was no excuse for not have the loan amount at the closing within 15 minutes. The communication with Virginia Youngman was also poor and sometimes rude.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Kevin,
I’m truly sorry to hear about your closing experience. Spending three hours at closing while waiting on loan funds is understandably frustrating, especially during what should be an exciting final step in the homebuying process. I also apologize to hear that the communication you received from Virginia Youngman felt poor and at times rude, as that is not the level of service we aim to provide.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we need to improve. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reconnect with our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
It's hard for me to not come to tears when writing how I feel about my experience with Veterans United and their partners. About 15 feet away my daughter is sleeping soundly in her new room. The joy on her face since I was handed the keys to our new home has given me a relief I have not had in years. It's been a hard road from when I left the Army with severe PTSD and physical injuries. I never could have imagined this experience turning out as great as it has. Veterans United didn't just help me put a roof over our head. They made me feel proud of my service, empathized with my mistakes and recognized how much hard work I have put in to provide a better life for my daughter. If you have doubts, like I did in the beginning, make a phone call. They will let you know exactly where you stand and exactly what you will have to do to achieve home ownership. They never once made me feel less than because of my mistakes. They only provided solutions on how to resolve them. I will wrap this up in saying, if you choose Veterans United you will not be disappointed. If you want to be treated with the respect you earned serving in the military, you will find it at Veterans United. Highly recommended, especially for those of you like me, who have been working hard to reverse damage from past mistakes.
So reaponsive
Great to work with
