Tyler Salter is absolutely one of the best people I know. He made this experience the best and we went through a lot during this process. He made it so much better, was always upbeat and positive. I gained a true friend in this experience. Veterans United is a better place for having him as a employee.
The buying process is smooth and simple. Biggest issues that arise are not from VU at all, but the requirements made for home buying. Still not a big issue if the seller is willing to work with the Veteran buyer. My biggest complaint is the phone system itself. Getting to a rep is hard enough, but it does seem that there is an issue with coherence across the board for the techs. It took almost a full year of working with at least 12 different people to get my mortgage back on track from missing one payment and cost hundreds of dollars in fees that I was mandated to pay, which should not have fallen on me as I did my best to work with the program but it was never followed through with.

Trying to get your mortgage back on track after one missed payment should not feel like a year-long uphill battle. Speaking with multiple representatives, struggling to reach someone through the phone system, and feeling like follow-through did not happen would wear on anyone. I can understand how the added fees would only make that situation more upsetting.
