It was great working with the VA a lot of paperwork on yours on my side but they were awesome to work with
Don was great! But his support staff is very hard to reach. Communication was difficult to say the least. They have phone numbers listed but Don was the only one who answered his phone. Otherwise very easy process.
The entire loan team that has worked with my wife and I from our initial closing to helping us refinance for a lower interest rate, everyone I’ve worked with has been outstanding.
My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.
I can’t thank Joseph Sepulveda and his team at Veterans United enough for the exceptional job they did in helping me secure my loan. From start to finish, they guided me through the process with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Every question I had was answered quickly, and they made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable.Because of their hard work and dedication, I am now in my dream home! Joseph and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled the right way, and I felt supported every step of the way. If you are a veteran looking to buy a home, I highly recommend Joseph Sepulveda and the Veterans United team—they truly deliver on their promise.

Everything was great except for the insurance part. I would give it a zero. The VU representative in the first call was abrasive and condescending. He also stated in emails and in the call that he had 5 quotes but would only show me or discuss one company. That is not a choice. That is VU pushing a specific company on me.
In the 2nd call, he initially acted as if he did not know I had selected another carrier. When I told him this, he became rude and aggressive and challenged me on the company and price I was going to pay the other company. First, that was none of his business. Secondly, if it is VU policy to share that with your insurance person, that should be disclosed up front versus attacking me on my choices with what he thought he knew about my choice.
If he were my employee, he would be fired immediately. His behavior negated the entire VU experience.
Veterans United is extremely well run. The process was organized and easy to follow with a portal that helped maintain it all. It was an organized, efficient, well run process for getting everything needed for underwriting while understanding the steps along the way. I would highly recommend Veterans United to others looking to purchase a home.
Kaimiloa was very helpful along the way. He was clear about any issues or questions I asked him.
The process was very easy and stress-free.
Yes very helpful
Sam and his team are the best

I highly recommend Veterans United to family and friends. My wife and I could not be more thankful with how helpful VU has been for us and our first purchased home. Everyone involved has been extremely reliable.
