My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.
This is my second time going through Katie Hayes at Veterans United. The first time was easy. This time I was dealing with an unruly seller and not using a realtor. It was complicated but they made it very easy and went out of their way to deal with the rude seller. Katie Hayes and her team also sent a get well soon care package to my Nephew who was hospitalized. They didn't have to do that but they did and I will always remember them and be grateful. These are real people with real feelings. I imagine this second purchase would have never happened without them. Thank You so much Katie and the rest of her team who was helpful and nice every time I called to ask questions.

Some agents respond quickly, others take quite a while, slowing down the process. For future cases, it'd also be best to have clear communication on what documentation is wanted, what information is wanted on it, and what format it's needed in to begin with instead coming back days or weeks later saying it's not everything needed to meet criteria. Still very much worth working with. Will recommend, and will work with this company again should the occasion arise.
