Initially communication was very good. Then about 3 weeks into the process, it significantly declined. We never felt like we never knew what was happening in the process and there were countless times we would call and ask questions and either never received a call back or never received an answer.
Bought our first home with Aaron, Jenny, Cara, and Kayla's assistance (sorry if I'm leaving someone out). That's a pretty special thing! We are thrilled.

We have been so happy with the service we received both the initial and the current mortgage. Everyone always goes above and beyond.
My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mr. Manos. I feel like he did his utmost to ensure that my home purchase went off without a hitch. Mr. Manos was extremely professional at all times and was very patient in explaining things to me all throughout the home buying process.
From start to finish they were by my side helping me with my purchase. When there was a problem they reached out and work with me to make sure my purchase was a success and for that I appreciate my whole team. They made this process so easy and comfortable for me in which now me and my family are settled in our new home. Thanks to all my team members
Great work! All the team members at VU were super helpful and friendly. I will recommend to friends and family.
I want to emphasize that Garet was very responsive. However, the underwriting department and coordination left something to be desired. We were repeatedly asked for things we had already submitted and had to FIGHT for the house to have the correct city listed. The house DOES have a shared zip code, but being the people who live her, we KNOW the correct village/city. My wife has experience in business and mail beiing returned if the correct city is not listed. Yet we had to fight that.
Everyone on this team was so helpful walking us through this system making it as comfortable as possible, even when glitches happen not their fault., they were patient and so helpful. They truly care about veterans in my opinion. Thanks.
No communication! Lots of delays extremely slow process.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Theodore,
I’m really sorry to hear about the delays and lack of communication you experienced. I know how frustrating that can be, especially during such an important process. That’s not the level of service I want for our Veterans United borrowers.
I’d appreciate the chance to look into this and better understand what happened. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up the next business day if you contact us after hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
I’m incredibly grateful for how Crystaline Loveless and Catrina Heath supported me throughout the entire process. They were kind, knowledgeable, and patient with every question I had. I would recommend them to anyone.
Outstanding costumer service!
The team provided regular 'check-ins' to ensure I was informed of every step of the process. I received a phone call which adds a personal touch and shows exceptional care for a customer going through the process of purchasing a home. If I had questions, they were quick to respond with updates.
