I've done 3 mortgages with Veteran's United now (VA, Conventional, and streamline refi). Prior to using them I did 3 mortgages with other companies so I have some experience to use as a baseline. I can say the process with Veteran's United was the easiest/smoothest of all. The tools that they provide to guide you through the process and provide the necessary documentation are very good. This company is decent and creditable. Despite some delays and miscommunication we managed to get through the process fairly smoothly. This was a second home for me so, it was a bit more challenging to complete.
