We started the home-buying process from overseas as first time buyers. Other lenders that claimed to have military families in mind didn't have a way for us to include international phone numbers or even indicate that our address was overseas (AA/AE/AP). While I did appreciate the little gifts I received during the process, I do not feel that using Veterans United was worth it. This process should have been easier on us but it was so stressful and I wanted to quit multiple times despite the money I already paid. We had to sign 4 separate amendments because we just couldn't close in time. I was 5 months pregnant when this started and now I am in my third trimester and can do less than I could before. Moving is frustrating enough but this was handled very unprofessionally.
