Decisions were made by the loan officer without confirmation or approval from me. The loan officer did not seem to have my interest at heart. She did not work to find the best solution to my needs until after a complaint was made to her supervisor. The loan officer also made assumptions and did not explain some some processes and decision points which ultimately put me in a bind with a large amount of unnecessary stress and financial hardship

Outstanding customer service! My only complaint is that we bought the house in February which meant the roof was covered with snow. Therefore, the home inspection report did not mention the roof, which we later discovered had several issues with broken/missing tiles and improperly patched areas. So be certain you get a complete inspection before finalizing your purchase.

Get a better appraiser. Guy doesn’t know what he’s even looking at. And I’m talking even on the VA side. Love the house but definitely not worth what I paid. The sellers just did a quick flip and left lots of stuff unfinished or just truthfully fucked it up. So very disappointed in the appraisal since it’s simple little things you walk through the house and can just say that’s wrong and that’s not right. So not only do I have to pay what I paid I also have to do fix everything that they messed up, and the appraisal basically told them they didn’t have to fix anything. Which is just plain wrong because I guarantee if it was his house he was buying he would have wrote it all down. Just plain laziness. But overall yall were great. Appraiser needs to be fired on the spot.

Veterans United is the way to go if you want to make the VA loan process smooth. VA loans kinda get a bad reputation with sellers and agents for being a bit more troublesome with all the paperwork and stricter appraisals etc. During the process, the team communicated well with all the parties involved and worked hard to get us closed in a timely manner. As someone who works in tech, I also really enjoyed the user experience with the app that keeps you up to date with what is going on and makes submitting and signing required documentation efficient and fast. Having an in-house insurance broker also really helps with getting the right coverage lined up quickly and sent over to the loan team.
