The entire team I worked with—Bill, Nico, and Mandy—was absolutely amazing. They took the time to explain every step of the process, making sure I fully understood what was happening and what was needed from me. They were extremely responsive, consistently providing timely updates and reaching out throughout the process to keep me informed. The Veterans United portal is also very user-friendly and clearly outlines the documents and information you need to submit, which made the process even easier. Overall, my experience was incredibly smooth and stress-free, especially when I stayed on top of submitting the requested documentation.I would highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who is eligible. I truly can’t thank Bill, Nico, Mandy, and the entire team enough for their professionalism, support, and dedication throughout the process!

Derek k , Anna J & Amy (my concierge) were WE’RE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNICATE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE ENTIRE PROCESS !! Of ME AND MY WIFE’S DREAM Home. I would highly recommend any Veteran of the Armed Forces to do business with Veterans United. Thank you to all the Team & and representatives of veterans United. God is extremely good and grateful.!
Great team
I can’t say enough good things about the whole team that helped me here!!!
Nick Gemming and Johnna Dunlap were the worst lenders I’ve ever seen made this whole process unbearable. Between the lack of communication (Johnna), lack of professionalism (Nick) and lack of job understanding. My major complaint is they waited until the week before my closing to do a 2year rental history, problem was both of my old complex had been sold off to different management. It too almost a weekend and a half for both apartments to send a zero balance. Then Nick was upset that I didn’t know an apartment I lived in two years ago sold management. I plan on reporting them both. Nick also said he was dealing with too many files at once, almost as to excuse his act.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Tiara,
I’m sorry this experience left you feeling frustrated and unsupported by your loan team. I can understand how stressful it was to be asked for rental history documentation so close to closing, especially when changes in property management made getting those records more complicated and time-consuming. Having that added pressure so late in the process would be frustrating.
I’m also sorry the communication and interactions you described added to an already stressful situation. You deserved clear explanations about what was needed, why it was needed, and what to expect as you approached closing.
I take this feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to better understand what happened throughout your experience. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can learn more.
Sincerely,

Purchasing my home with Veterans United was a huge milestone for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the team that helped guide me through the process. Buying a home can be stressful at times, but my team consistently worked hard to keep everything moving and to make sure I understood each step along the way.I especially want to recognize Andy Harris, Shawna, Hannah, and Christie for their dedication and professionalism. Andy was always responsive and supportive, making sure my questions were answered day or night and helping me stay on track throughout the loan process. Shawna and Hannah were extremely helpful and organized, making the document process smooth and keeping me informed of what was needed. Christie worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything met underwriting requirements. Andy made sure that we reached the finish line. What meant the most to me was knowing I had a team advocating for me and working hard to make my homeownership goal a reality. I was not just a number. As a veteran, it’s reassuring to work with people who understand the VA loan process and truly care about helping veterans succeed.I’m proud to say I’m now a homeowner, and I appreciate the effort and commitment my Veterans United team put into making that happen. I would absolutely recommend Veterans United to other veterans looking to buy a home.
Tanya and her entire team at Veterans United were absolutely remarkable throughout the entire home-buying process. They made what could have been a stressful and overwhelming experience feel simple, smooth, and stress-free.From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and truly cared about helping my family. They took the time to explain everything, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way.As a veteran, having a team that understands the unique challenges of a military transition made a huge difference for us. Tanya and her team went above and beyond to make our transition into our new home as easy as possible.I couldn’t be more grateful for their support and dedication. If you’re a veteran looking to purchase a home, I highly recommend Tanya and the Veterans United team.
It seemed my loan office may not have ever done a convential loan before, as there seemed to be consent issues that delayed my closing. That delay force me to load and move in one day, should never happen that way.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Russell,
I’m sorry your closing was delayed and put you in the difficult position of having to load and move into your new home all in one day. I can understand how stressful and exhausting that must have been. You deserved clear communication about what was needed and anything affecting your closing timeline.
I’d like to learn more about what happened and the concerns you experienced throughout the process. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Sincerely,
