It was a very good experience. The loan officer was professional and personally concerned. He coordinated everything. We were amazed that original cost estimates dropped throughout the process, and we ended up actually getting some money back rather than paying out money at closing. And the original interest rate estimate also dropped from 2.625% to 2.25%. Maybe that was just luck, but I'm sure we got the lowest possible interest rate.
If you are buying a house now using VA homes loans will make the process better for with their low APR rates, and 0 down for the first month. I personally don't believe anyone can beat it.
