Joel Gigler and Chris Gilbert were very thorough and informative! Chris in particular answered numerous questions regarding our first time home buying experience, and was very quick to get back to us with answers and new developments in the loan process! We weren't passed around from person to person, and we received the best interest rate we possibly could have! I would highly recommend them to anyone buying a new house.
I was concerned about dealing with someone by e-mail and phone when I grew up with face to face interviews. Jeff was outstanding for being right on top of every step through this process and answered every question promptly. He was always friendly and knowledgeable during the process, even during the delays. I would highly recommend Jeff and United Veterans to any Veteran going to purchase or refinance real estate.
My experience was painless. I was walked through every step and was kept informed as to what could happen going forward and what I needed to do next to keep the process smooth and not very timely at all. My real estate agent was remarkable. The whole process was comfortable and rather enjoyable!
As a retired Army veteran, I have relied on and sing the praises of USAA for all my family's banking and financial business until my last home purchase. Our experience with the mortgage department at USAA left us wondering if this was the same institution we have been with for so many years. We recently found our dream home. We regrettably reached back out to USAA thinking that our previous experience was an anomaly, it wasn't. Tragic that one department within the institution can be so sub-standard. We stopped processing with USAA immediately and were referred to Steve McMichael at Veterans United Home Loans. We called the number (after duty hours) and Steve immediately returned my wifes call. From the beginning Steve and the Veterans staff were attentive, honest friendly and truly made us feel like we had known each other for years. We were able to contact Steve day or night and without fail, he was available. The VA process was painless and professional with no hidden anything. Ironically, VUHL beat USAA's VA rate, went from good to better. Our timeline was quick with some nuances as we were closing on one and closed on the other, just couldn't have asked for more. We truly didn't know that the mortgage process was supposed to be enjoyable until we met with Steve and VUHL. On behalf of my family, we sincerely Thank you!

In all my experience with VA loan was a very positive one and I will definitely recommend them.
I had a very difficult case that had already started with another bank, I called Veterans United and right from the beginning they explained everything to me, walked me through every process, very efficient, wish I has of started with them sooner. They were are to get my family and I in our home much sooner than we thought possible. Very satisfied with my results and the company.
My wife was having to do all the paperwork, and was not sure how it would work. But Dave Munns and his staff made it easy for her. We were very happy with the process and timing on the work done. We are now in our new home and could not be happier.
All of the folks I worked with at VU were outstanding. Jessica Nelson, Chris Rohr and Dan Kelly were all above average. I could not have asked for more. I hope I won't need to purchase another home but if i do VU will be my first stop.
Was told in Jan we were pre-approved before selling home in Calif. Came to Colo and saw the market was in a boom and increased our request amount and were told again we were pre-approved and all set to go.
We found property we wanted, realators had closing date set and the loan company was not ready and it had to be cancelled and reset for a date when the sellers would be back in state two weeks later. Two days before this closing date they called for proof of social security payments, pay stubs from my navy retirement and statements of income proof, We had signed papers in Oct giving them permission to request all of the above stuff and they did not get it. I had to arrange it on line and have realator fax and email it to loan company and then they did not accept it because social security did not put my wifes middle initial on it. Had to get it again have realator resend it for second time day before closing. Did not find out amount we had to pay escrow until three hours before meeting to sign papers. Escrow lady was on phone with loan officer while we sat in room with sellers to finish turnover.
