Veterans United was probably one of the best home buying experiences I have had. They are very thorough and efficient. We actually were able to close on the initial date set.
This is our first home, and I am very happy we chose to use Veterans United. We ended up buying a FSBO, but they were able to quickly recommend very helpful and friendly agents if we chose that route. I was actually laid off shortly after we started the initial process, but VU stuck with us and were all very patient while I looked for another job. Once everything was good to go on our end again, we found a house and closed in less than 30 days from our accepted offer. We couldn't have asked for an easier or better experience for our first home purchase. I would absolutely recommend Veterans United for VA loans. Any questions we had were answered promptly and accurately, and the staff was very informative and friendly. If they didn't know the answer right away, the found out for us very quickly. Thank you VU!
With all of the new regulations that have been put into effect, I found that at any changes or requests by underwriting, the entire Veterans United was immediately in contact with me. I was able to present all documentation in the required time. Without their assistance, myself and others would be dragged through a long tedious process with innumerable delays.
The process may be time consuming but if one has the necessary requested paperwork or info to fill out the forms, it is well worth the effort.
I apprec. all the hard work Zane did to get the loan for me > he is very good & a pro
If I would have had the cash I would have bought it straight up. This ecperince wasn't fun or easy. Some of the staff talk to people I live with in a less than polite manner. I know they were trying to get stuff done but private businesses don't work for your company and shouldn't be strong armed in anyway. Va office is under the impression that the entire housing industry thinks like they do and it's not ture. Not everyone does business your way please respect that and leave them alone. I have harmed relationships becuse of va office pushy ways, some of these people I barely now and have work with. They have s bad taste in their mouth from this closing and there's nothing I can do about it, that I regret and can't fix.
This whole thing started about 3 years ago. I started working with Jake, to get my credit scores where I needed them to buy a house. He was there for me whenever I called. Understanding that I am disabled and have a ton of time to think and over think, so I must have been pesty, but never once did Jake do anything but encourage me and tell me we're almost there. It was never "you're almost there", it was always we. I felt like he really cared and when the scores got to where they needed to be, Spencer walked in the room. As we started to work on getting this house buying thing done, Spencer was also nothing but kind and gentle with me. I believe I also pestered him, but he never eluded to that at all (it's me that thinks that), he would listen and even try to help me with things that were not in his realm of job description. He went so far as to ask me if I wanted him to call my old Realtor and tell him I'd moved on. Who does that in the business world for someone they've only talked to on the phone. Spencer Thompson does. Jake Frogge does.
i would not be sitting here in my new house if these two gentle kind men hadn't helped me. I will never forget either of them.
To Jake, my bad if I spelled you last name wrong and I hope your son is growing like a weed and driving you bonkers :)
To Spencer, remember the funny jokes I told you about on youtube. They are hilarious.
To both of them, my prayer is that someday I can give you both a hug and say to your faces "Thank You".

Absolutely outstanding. My family and I are very pleased with the service we received, it started off as client and loan officer, and I ended up feeling like we have known Leanna for a long time. Thank you so much Leanna. You have made the Dollar family very happy.
