Response from Veterans United
Hi Martha,
I’m really sorry to hear how unhappy you felt with the way things turned out. When you’re counting on clear guidance and hoping for a smooth process, feeling let down is incredibly frustrating, and I understand why you’d walk away with this impression.
I’d really appreciate the chance to talk with you directly and review what happened from your perspective. If you’re open to it, you can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. My team is here from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and if you reach out after hours we’ll typically follow up the next business day.
Thank you for sharing your feelings about this experience. I’m here if you’d like to discuss it further.

Steve was great to work with! Great communication.

Fantastic! Veteran's United provided a great team for my wife and I to get thru the home buying process as first time buyers. Everything went great and I couldn't happier.

Lance and his team did an awesome job! Every step of the way he made sure we not only understood but gave us advice. We are not just another number, I fell like we are family. I know that sounds cliche, but it’s the truth! Thank yall so much for everything!

The VU team was very sincere and detailed in answering all my questions and concerns. They were amazing with follow ups.

The process was smooth and basically effortless, thanks to Stephen and Trent. 10/10

As a first time home buyer, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this process. Lance Hopper and his team went out of their way to make sure I knew what to expect through the process. I even had a family emergency during this process that put things on pause. The first thing that Lance said to me was take care of family and we'll still be here. Throughout this process, I did not just feel like another number with Veterans United. As a Marine, I have always had a mentality of "get things done"....but with Veterans United, they made sure I was prepared for the whole process.

Communication could have been better. There were a lot of unanswered calls and emails.

Trey Barrow, Ana and the rest of the staff have been outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure that my wife and I were ready for the move. Always ready to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed.

2nd loan didn't go nearly a smooth as the first and will be my last with you guys. Between poor communication with the team and having to have Jon keep me from walking away mid process because he's apparently the only one that can communicate on that team. Add in the extra almost $2k it cost me to "extend" my rate lock 27 days its hard to recommend VU to my fellow vets.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Justin,
I’m really sorry to hear this experience felt so much tougher than your first one. When communication misses the mark and you’re left feeling unsure about what’s happening, it can take a lot of the trust out of the process. I can understand how frustrating it was to feel like you were holding things together mid-process and then dealing with unexpected costs on top of that.
If you’re open to talking more, you can reach my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. We’d really appreciate the chance to look into what happened and make sure your feedback is fully reviewed.

I had a very positive experience with everyone that I interacted with at Veterans United. They helped me through every process and answered all of my questions. They were all very friendly and helpful.

A well-organized, competent organization. They work together to quickly process the piles of paperwork and make it look easy.

The whole process was very disorganized with little communication, next steps and what some terms mean. Additionally, there were several people calling to “set things up” when the closing was not even near.
Response from Veterans United
Hi John,
I’m really sorry to hear the process felt disorganized and unclear. When you’re trying to move toward closing, you deserve steady communication and a clear sense of what’s coming next, and I understand how frustrating it is when that doesn’t happen. I’d appreciate if my folks had the chance to look into this with you.

Home buying can be stressful especially when you’re juggling regular life with a bunch of kids. Understanding the lending process let alone a VA Loan was a lot of work (for me). Veterans United made the process simple and my loan officer, Rachel was outstanding! Made the process simple. Clearly communicated every step of the way. And fought for our best interests when the seller was committed to their own best interests. I’d recommend Rachel and Veterans United in a heartbeat.

Kenzie Tree and the Veterans United team were absolutely exceptional, providing the best possible support throughout my first home-buying experience. They expertly guided me through every step of the process, ensuring I secured a much-needed home for my mother and me.Kenzie Tree was particularly remarkable; she maintained an unwavering positive attitude and never let me feel discouraged, even when obstacles arose. She kept the "train rolling" efficiently all the way to the closing date. To top it all off, we closed right before Christmas, which was the most incredible holiday gift. I couldn't be happier with their outstanding service.

This is my second experience with Veteran’s United and both have been great!
