We were told several times….”everything looks good” to be told two days later they needed something else. Originally we were supposed to close the end of the month in June, but it was pushed back to July. We were asked about our HOA- there is not one on June 14….. then on the 29 they started looking for verification.
There were also additional costs that we were not informed at the beginning of the process, such as an appraisal and a bug check. Since there are apparently routine we should have been informed.The notary that came for the signing was the only competent person that we worked with- and she was an outsider person they hired for the signing.
Will Kennedy and his team were fantastic and easy to work with. A special shout-out to Will for always being available, patient, and understanding throughout the process. He went above and beyond to help us, making our experience much easier and far less stressful. We truly appreciate all of the support we received and highly recommend Will and his team to anyone looking for a smooth and positive lending experience.

This was our first time using Veteran's United and the process was extremely long, difficult and we almost ended up homeless. Because of so many factors, both from VU and other sources, closing was literally the last day of the month when our rental lease ended. The lack of communication between VU staff resulted on not everyone being on the same page most of the time and misinformation being given. Overall, was not satisfied and would not use this company again.
Chris and Carla were the absolute best ever! The purchase of our home was seamless and fast! Best experience we ever had on a purchase like this. Highly recommended.
