The staff at the VA were always keeping me updated on the process of the loan and when items were needed. A big thank you to Shelby E. and Rachael who where great to work with and always contacted me just to check in and let me know how the process was going.

Don and his team made the process very easy and smooth. Very responsive and helpful through everything

The worst experience I’ve ever had in my 11 home purchases I have had.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Tuan,
I’m really sorry to hear that this was the worst homebuying experience you’ve had out of all your purchases. With as many homes as you’ve bought, you know what the process should feel like, and it’s clear we missed the mark this time. You deserved better communication and support along the way, and I truly regret that this experience caused so much frustration.
We take this kind of feedback seriously because it helps us see where we can improve and ensure no one else feels the same way. My Client Advocate team would really appreciate the chance to talk with you and learn more about what went wrong. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
We’re available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time and will follow up the next business day if you reach out after hours.

The team is worked with where on point. Never had to wait long for a response or issue to be taken care of. The loan went quickly with very little pain. They stayed in contact the whole time and even with a fast loan they did really well tracking and finishing everything

Second time using VU and as usual it didn't disappoint.

I like being able to send documents with the app and review everything going out.

Service was good, I do not agree with the 5k application fee. I was under the impression that the VA loan was to help veterans, not bene them over the barrel adding 5k to their loan. If I had a chance, I would seek another lender and put 5k toward my house, not to a lender who’s intentions are not clear.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Brett,
I really appreciate you sharing this feedback. I can understand how frustrating it must have felt to see the VA funding fee added to your loan amount, especially when the program is meant to help veterans become homeowners. It’s a common point of confusion, and you’re not alone in feeling that way.
The funding fee is actually a charge required by the Department of Veterans Affairs, not by Veterans United. It’s collected by the VA to help keep the benefit available for future generations of service members and veterans. We know it can still be a tough cost to see, and we always want to make sure it’s clearly explained early in the process.
We appreciate your feedback and the chance to improve how we communicate these details. If you’d like to talk through how the VA funding fee applies to your specific loan, my Client Advocate team would be glad to connect. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.

It was really simple, just have all your information ready and it’s a snap.
