The only problem we encountered were a last minute inspection we had to pull off because of late notification.l since it was missed earlier on the review. We had 2 weeks before the closing. Before that, we had 2 weeks we could’ve gotten the inspection done. Other than that, everything was outstanding.
I did not believe that I could get a mortgage with my credit, and I was right. However the people at Veterans United showed me how to correct the issues on my credit in order to obtain a mortgage. When I made my initial application for a mortgage, my mid-score was eight points shy of the required 620 score. Two other major lenders came back and said I didn't qualify and that they'd be in contact in 45 days. That wasn't the case with Veterans United. Instead I was referred to the Lighthouse program, and in a matter of two weeks my score not only met, but exceeded, the minimum score (645)! If you want to talk customer service and truly helping out veterans, then Veterans United is the embodiment of that term. I would recommend them in a heart beat!
