My story begins with trying to buy a house in New Mexico but unfortunately it did not pass the inspection. Thinking it over, my family and I decided to stay here in Ohio. Veterans United couldn't be more understanding. Working with the best loan officer in the business, Mickey, we hammered out a game plan. Following that game plan he hooked me up with the best realtor from veterans United I've ever met. Mickey went over everything with me on my loan. He understood my needs and made me feel confident about my decisions. He followed up with me everyday and help me work through all the odds and ends of the home buying process. I know some veterans get money back at closing, but what I received was amazing!! I would like to thank Mickey and his team. Y'all have made this an experience one never forgets. had a very disappointing experience working with this team. Communication was consistently poor—we had to repeatedly follow up just to receive basic updates, and we never felt like a priority.Kendal and Donna were often unprofessional and dismissive. On multiple occasions, they emphasized how busy they were or mentioned upcoming vacations, which only reinforced the lack of attention given to our file. Most concerning, Donna accidentally included me on an email where she was making fun of me, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.Additionally, the appraisal process was handled extremely poorly. The report contained numerous errors—over eight corrections were needed—including incorrect names and inaccurate information. This significantly delayed the process and added unnecessary stress.Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this team and will not be using them again.

Phil Smyser is exceptional. He took the time to understand our unique situation and FOUGHT for us!!! Simply put we got in a bind because of another mortgage services misinformation and PHIL swept in and saved the day. HE IS AMAZING, Veterans United is amazing. I especially love the level of integration on the web site and app. You can simply enter in your info and viola your income, addresses, employment history is all imported in and verified.
The process as a whole really sucks but I imagine it could've sucked more without Ryan and Cara.
