I wasn't prepared to wait as long as I did to be approved to close. It made it hard to properly plan. For example, I needed to ship my car from Alabama to the new home but didn't want to do it until I knew we were getting financed. Last minute shipping costs a bundle more. I ended up buying a plane ticket and will need to fly back to Alabama to personally retrieve my car. I don't know if this was the fault for Veterans United or the Closing company. That was the only hitch I had with the process.
