It was my 1st time to buy a home and didn't know what all was involved. It was a taxing ordeal for me to follow, but I survived. The only thing is that you really should let the client initiate any calls to outside vendors as they are very pushy and don't like NO. I learned a lot and as this will be my only home purchase I can rest assured I won't have to go thru it again. VU helped quite a bit and for that you have my thanks. I have been setting up my new home and it's been a lot of work. Thanks for getting me in my home.

Tyler was an absolute hero during our home buying process! As first time home buyers and absolute worrywarts, Tyler’s transparency was a godsend to keep up from jumping off the deep end. I cannot express enough gratitude.

What a wonderful team the VU has. They worked with me very closely to end. Now, I am a homeowner because of them. Thank you a lot for the hard work each individual has put towards making my dream come true.

I will sincerely recommend Veteran United to all my fellow vets!

This has been a great experience from start to finish. Knowing that you have a whole team of people to help out with literally every step is amazing and takes a lot of stress out of this whole process. Anytime we needed anything the team was a text, phone call, or email away--not to mention fast response times.

Very personable every step of the way. Was worried about the process at first but quickly realized everyone was working hard for me and made buying a home a smooth experience. Answered every and any questions I had. And volunteer knowledge. As a first time home buyer they uncomplicated everything and did a great job fast tracking the buying process. You guys changed my life for the better and my family is so grateful and happy. Thank you.

Veteran's United has a great team. Communication is open, friendly follow ups to assure smooth path of your home buying journey, and the best support anyone can ask for.

Process was simple and easy to get approved. Andy Miller was fantastic to work with. Was kept in the loop during entire process, and had everything explained to me in detail as I was a first time home-buyer. He made sure all of my questions were answered and never made me feel "rushed". Highly recommend ????

This was the best and easiest option out there that I could afford. And even when things were easy, they made it way easier for me. I'm very proud to say that I own a home under Veterans united. They beat interest rates on my bank and hooked me up with the best realtor in the surrounding area. Thank you.

Everything went very smoothly until the end. An issue arose AFTER closure docs were signed that required resigning of deed. Not sure if error was on part of VU or title company, but it cause us a fair amount of stress, time & inconvenience.

I love the communication! The ENTIRE Veterans United team stayed ready and helped relieve the stress that comes with purchasing a home.

Appreciate the dedication.

Veterans United made it so easy to get my first home after my wife and I got out of the military! There was support and transparency every step of the way.

Blake and the VU team were extremely helpful all the way through the buying experience. Would highly recommend

Always room for improvement.

Our experience with VU didnt go well! We have other family that have used them and it went good. I think VU as a whole their system to send and receive and sign Docs is great. With that being said the office in Columbia, MO did a terrible job wouldn't return my phone calls but would continue to reach out to my wife. There was no such thing as a rate lock it was constantly changing until we informed them we may go with a different lender then it all of a sudden came down. Trey Barrow and his team Lani and Dan we feel didn't not work for us. No one communicated with us as to how much to bring to close. Even our notary who was there with us signing saw different numbers that didnt make sense. Would I recommend VU yes for their process and simplicity but I would not recommend the Columbia, MO office or specifically trey and his team.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Jessup,
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m glad to hear you found our system for sending, receiving, and signing documents easy to use, but I’m sorry the communication and clarity throughout your process fell short of your expectations. I understand how frustrating it is to feel like you’re not getting consistent answers about your rate or how much to bring to closing, especially when the numbers don’t seem to line up.
I’d like for our advocates to have the opportunity to review your file so we can better understand what happened and address your concerns directly. You can reach them at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we’ll respond the next business day if you contact us outside those hours.
Shawn and team were quick, thorough and efficient.
