While deployed, Rich Pauls contacted me and basically we hit it off and then when I got home he was able to let me know what my wife and me needed to send him as well as Tiffany Herrmann. I will definitely be sending fellow soldiers towards veterans united as long as family members.
After being told no on VA loans thru other banks, Veterans United said let us try and they delivered. On top of helping us buy a house with 50% less down payment, they also cut our auto insurance in half.
Let me just start by saying how AMAZING Veterans United has been every step of the way. My loan specialist Travis Ward and his team went above and beyond and where more than I could ask for in my first home buying experience. As a first time buyer, you could imagine how many questions and concerns I had, and never did I feel Like i was alone in the process. Travis made me feel like I was an absolute priority and anytime I needed him he was readily available, he truly makes it a comfortable experience where you know you have a great team behind you. I can't express how smooth and painless the process was. I kept waiting for the day that things would become difficult but it never happened! It had been a lifelong dream to be a homeowner and thanks to Veterans Unites it became a reality. I highly recommend Veterans United and specifically Travis Ward and his team.

Excellent service.
your team was fantastic. Good people these days are very hard to find. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Veterans united offered so much help and offered the resources to make the home buying process quick, easy, and painless.
It was a challenge going thru the loan process with Veterans United. But, well worth the experience. The loan officers ( Kimberly and Amber) assigned to me made a complicated process seem like a walk in the park. LOL! There was tons of paperwork to docu-sign and a mountain of documents needed to prove who I was and inspections on my future home to assure the homes' safety and worth. In the end, I was approved for my dream home with an awesome 3.5% interest rate. Their assistance didn't end there. They made sure my dream home would not make me house-poor by keeping my debt-to-income ratio in line. I had to be debt-free (including credit cards) to make the numbers even out.
The entire team at Veterans United was insightful, professional and helpful throughout the entire process!
Jackson is a great dude with a good personality that genuinely cares!

Don't change anything
My wife and I was and still is impressed with the customer service and help in buying our first home using Veterans United services. The care and respect given to veterans is platinum. They seem to care for the whole veteran and not just a number. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and if I had a question it was not a bother them if I called several times a day or throughout the week. And I fill that we had the best team Veteran United has. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It also should include Jimmy Stranz, Ashley Stratman and Corey Sublett. They made our first time home buying experience seamless. WHAT A TEAM!!!!! Thanks From The Williams Family
I wanted to roll my closing costs into the loan. No one helped me, and I was unable to do it. I ended up paying out of pocket for this. I would not recommend you to any of my vet buddies because of this.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Robert,
I’m really sorry to hear how frustrating this experience was, especially when you were hoping to roll your closing costs into the loan. I can understand how disappointing it must have been to end up paying those expenses out of pocket. That’s not the kind of outcome we want for any of our veterans.
If able I would love our advocate team to have the chance to take a closer look at your file and go over what happened. When you have a moment, please reach out at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
I had a good experiance when I bought the house but when I was just doing a streamline which should have been simple and easy.
No one told me to stop autopay before closing and I was told I wouldn’t have to pay the next month,, so I didn’t transfer the money and you ran autopay which cost me 60.00 in fees before I caught it. When I called about it I felt like the several people I talked blew me off saying I should’ve stopped autopay.Next you canceled the home owners insurance policy which then created a whole lot of stress and issues trying to get that corrected and my home covered, luckily nothing happened in the 6 days I didn’t have coverage, when the papwer work I signed said that coverage was supposed to be paid through mortgage as it was before the refinance. Also I don’t understand why closing cost were almost as high as the first loan especially for a stream line and then the rate was higher when said and done versus when I started the process.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Allen,
I appreciate you sharing your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear the refinance process didn’t go as smoothly as your first experience with us. I understand how frustrating it must have been dealing with the autopay issue, the temporary lapse in insurance coverage, and the questions about your costs and rate. That’s not the kind of stress we ever want to create for our borrowers.
I’d really like my advocates to review your file and see what happened so we can better explain those details and make sure your concerns are fully addressed. Please reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
