From the first phone call I made to Veterans United, Joe and his team jumped into action on my loan approval and notifying me immediately of approval. VU's team is efficient and aggressive to the finish insuring the highest quality in customer service to our veterans. Prompt, courteous and professional people who make you feel there with you every step of the way and in your corner. Even with all my questions or concerns VU sincerely answered all of them and assured me all aspects for the best loan was being done. Justin Menard my loan officer was above excellence. He was always available, on top of things, knowledgeable and very supportive. He treated me not only as a customer but as a friend and a brother. Absolute great experience with him. Other aspects outside of him such as realtor dropping the ball on issues was another story and that relationship which I discussed with Justin feel very short of being satisfactory. Veterans United helped me buy my first house. I went into this knowing I knew very little about home buying, and the team assisted my spouse and me the whole way through the transaction. We were able to leverage a cashback offer that other banks were offering for 1.75% on the home price as a way to either pay closing costs or to buy down our interest rate. We got lucky and our sellers agreed to pay the closing costs, so we got a great interest rate. If you are thinking about buying a home but you're not sure how to do it, I would recommend reaching out to someone at Veterans United. They will help you out! The only person on our team who was ever short with us was our Loan Coordinator. If there's a way to ask her to be a little kinder and more responsive, then the whole team would be PHENOMENAL!

Jodi Coons was very patient and understanding, that is to all of our questions no matter how many or what time we contacted her to answer them. She was very sympathetic even when we had to make some financial changes. Also, Richard was very helpful and friendly to us, even when we couldn't reach Jodi. The loan process through Veterans United was the easiest one we have ever experienced in home buying! Zach Roberts led us through the entire way. Everything was easily submitted online and the ‘to do’ list kept the process moving seamlessly and promptly.
The whole team from VeteransUnited were incredible. From Jessica who got us started to Shawn who finished us out. Not forgetting Dennis, Michel, and everyone else I can't remember at the moment, who were also phenomenal. Everything we wanted explained was broken down into easily understandable terms and ideas that we could actually get ahold of. They were ALL quick, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in their fields.
Overall, a 10! The only thing I would suggest is to make sure that the final closing documents are finalized before the moment of closing! That was extremely annoying! Show up expecting to pay one thing and all of the sudden; nope you must pay this! Also, please fix the issue about having to constantly having to get the DocuSign reset. Every time my Loan team would send me something it would say that my session had timed out and to reverify. Well there is no place or link to do that!
