In the beginning process of buying a home everyone was available for questions and immediate responses back when needed. When the process progressed trying to get ahold of the people we needed to get ahold of were not available, left messages with no call backs, which was very frustrating on our part.
It was my first time getting loan to buy our house. Its alot of steps but the help you through it all. You will be well taking care of, even after closing they are still there to help you with what ever you need. Thank you so much CJ and team you guys rock!!
I was very satisfied working with the loan team and real estate agent, however, upon closing my loan was sold of to Planet Home Lending, which as already been an awful lending company to work with. Planet homes customer support (Was not helpful at all in answering questions) and overall service (not taking out payments when they need to) is awful. I still recommend Veterans United as they made the homebuying process simple, it's just a shame that my loan was sold off to such an awful company, if that wasn't the case my rating would be much higher.

The process was long but worth it and so easy with everyone on my side
We had an awesome team!!! From the lighthouse program to our loan officer and all the ones that worked with him! Process was so smooth and easy! My realtor said she hasn’t ever had one go as smooth and quick as ours did!
Kevin Warren and Christopher Coker were the two main loan officers who assisted us. They made everything very easy, and they were always available to answer any questions that we had. This was our fifth home to purchase, which by no means makes us experts. Kevin and Chris were there to update us on changes as we went through the process. VU no longer does hard credit pulls till it's time to actually do the loan, which saved our credit score. VU and our team were the most knowledgeable about VA loans... even as complicated as we are: Dual military, some benefits still wrapped up in another property, one active and one retired disabled Vet. I wouldn't trust another company or team!
From the first phone call I made to Veterans United, Joe and his team jumped into action on my loan approval and notifying me immediately of approval. VU's team is efficient and aggressive to the finish insuring the highest quality in customer service to our veterans. Prompt, courteous and professional people who make you feel there with you every step of the way and in your corner. Even with all my questions or concerns VU sincerely answered all of them and assured me all aspects for the best loan was being done. For m y first VA experience I'm very proud to have had VU on my side.

Overall, a 10! The only thing I would suggest is to make sure that the final closing documents are finalized before the moment of closing! That was extremely annoying! Show up expecting to pay one thing and all of the sudden; nope you must pay this! Also, please fix the issue about having to constantly having to get the DocuSign reset. Every time my Loan team would send me something it would say that my session had timed out and to reverify. Well there is no place or link to do that!
Working with Zack and his team was a blessing. This whole process was as smooth as could be. We couldn't be more pleased.
From the start I believe there should be a prebuilt checklist on everything you need for the property/home you are purchasing. 1 prebuilt for if it is a house and 1 prebuilt for a manufactured home, and 1 prebuilt checklist for a property you are buying that you plan on building a house on. The constant asking of certain items back to back to back is a hinderance on the buyer or seller, in our situation the seller lives 6hrs away from the property so thankfully she was ok with us being there to get things done for her so she wasn't making multiple trips as everything wasn't asked for up front so she had no idea what was expected of her or us throughout the process. We were also asked multiple times for items that had already been uploaded or sent through an email. For instance, a copy of the insurance policy with the effective date of closing which had already been sent or the loan team emailing the wrong insurance company for policies and we weren't even using that insurance agent. I get that you all work with multiple people, but something as simple as making notes on the account you are working on goes a long way. My process with the first loan was much smoother than it was for this one.
