The realtor that was assigned to my team was really bad. It seemed like I was expected to do everything to find a home on my own. He was unprofessional. In regards to the paperwork near the closing, the ball was really dropped. My closing had to be delayed 2 hours because the paperwork was not at the title company. I ended up having to call senior management 40 minutes before the delayed appointment to get the paperwork there. No one on my team were answering their phones during this time either. I had the inspections scheduled within a week of the purchase agreement. It felt like the wait for the appraisal was excessive and the appraisal along with the final paperwork was left to the last minute. I wasn't given proper time to go over any of the paperwork at the end. There also seemed to be a disconnect between my realtor and my team about closing costs.
Buying a home can be incredibly stressful, but the entire team at Veterans United made the experience feel easy and supported from start to finish. Their communication was excellent, and the additional resources and guidance they provided truly helped take so much of the stress off our shoulders. We’re incredibly thankful to everyone involved for helping our family through such an important milestone.
This was a challenging yet unique case for myself and the VU staff. They rose to the challenges and help make my home ownership a reality. They really did go above and beyond for me.
