Over All Veterans United Home Loan is great and efficient. However, after six loans given to them, it would seem that Veterans United would have given me more Lender Credit then it did. I could have received the Lender Credit from another Mortgage company and still got the same rate. Not sure that Veterans United Home Loans show very much customer loyalty. Also I did not know that Veterans United Home Loan would only do a 90% LTV Refinance until the Agent told me.
Overall great and awesome experience.
So many emotions through this journey. I was worried and anxious for nothing. The team made this process so easy it was scary. Now, I get to surprise my children with a new home for a new start. A happy home for healing. Thank you all so much for being our Angels.

VU was an easy and painless process. I thought it was going to be more difficult going through this process while stationed in South Korea, but it was surprisingly simple!
Everyone was encouraging, Transparent to the Max, patient, quick to give praise, Text friendly when I needed texts ...due to schedule, and once they knew that I was a curious George for any and all types of explanations, they rolled with me!
Buying a home can be daunting. My Loan Specialist at Veterans United, Chad Bowman, was so knowledgeable and responsive that it minimized the stress, and I always came away with a clear understanding of where I was in the process and what I needed to do. Further, he, and his team anticipated potential hurdles and smoothed the process. I can fully recommend them to any Veteran. They were especially thorough and made me, an older Veteran, comfortable and confident through the ups and downs and I got the home I wanted.
Veterans United is an outstanding Home Loan provider for military
retirees. They also are cognizant to the retiree family and I really like that about their service.

They need to check out Veterans United.
What Needs improved is more accurate estimates. My closing costs were estimated to be over $10,000. Two weeks before closing they were estimated to be just. Under $10,000. The day of closing they dropped to about $8,000. A second item is a more accurate explanation of costs and fees up-front. I asked what the cost would be and was told none. Later I was told the VA fee. Much later I was told about the inspections and other fees. Just be transparent initially. Finally, I think I got a higher rate than I should. I was quoted by others an interest rate of 2.75 but Veterans gave a 2.85 rate. So, people and service were great. The financials could be improved. Thank you for the house warming gift. That was a nice touch.
