We chose Veterans United because of the ease of the preapproval process after a bad experience with another lender’s process. The actual loan approval process was equally as easy and quick (30 day closing period). The loan officer and coordinator we always available to answer questions.

again, the way the website is set up is awesome, the loan info, the to-do lists, the interface for uploading documents, the way i can see items go from submitted, pending review, to accepted was clear and concise. Also Scott made me feel like i was dealing with a old buddy who is a loan specialist working for a small mom and pop company, the felt like i was the only customer, well done Scott and Veterans United!

If you’re a veteran and looking to buy a home, take advantage of this benefit. The process is smooth, and fast. Yes, fast! I closed 32 days after my offer was accepted, and that's only because the seller had a delay. It can sometimes be a little challenging to get sellers to consider offers that are backed by VA loans. There's a perception in the industry that VA loans take forever to close and inspections and appraisals are too nit-picky and sellers are steered away from those offers. I agree that the inspection was very thorough, but you'll be glad you had it. They look for things that normal inspections don't, things that will save you a lot of money in the end.
In the end, and particularly after talking about the process with friends who have other types of loans and went through different processes, I feel like I had a better overall experience than they did and got a better deal on a home that was vetted and inspected much more carefully than a home purchased with a conventional loan and thus I feel even better about the house i just bought.

The entire process was very stressful towards the end and the entire team does not seem to work. Well with the underwriting team and closing team I went to veterans United because I thought they would be specialists but I will never use them or recommend them. It seems like they churn people through without any regard for meeting deadlines and poor customer service.
