I would highly recommend doing your research prior to settling with VU. Our experience was far from great. We didn’t close on time due to failures on behalf of our loan teams. Buying a home, especially for first time home buyers like us, is stressful and there are a lot of unknowns, but VU did nothing to help that. Communication was rarely initiated by our loan officer and there were multiple occasions when our loan officer became extremely arrogant and rude to us. We were thankful to be paired with an AMAZING realtor, Micky Kilburn, who got us through he entire process no thanks to VU.

Any veteran looking to buy a house, especially as a first home buyer, I highly recommend working with Chris and his team at Veterans United. Everything was smooth and worry free!
Use another va loan option!! Do your research. If all else fails call the bbb to help with the process. Find your own help don't take their referrals.
