Communication and organization could have been better. It was difficult contacting veterans united and deciphering what documents were needed and how they needed to be sent as far as digital signatures vs wet signatures. Our closing experience could have gone a lot smoother with more preparation and communication on veteran united's part.

I did not employ a real estate agent. My experience was that the staff at VU was not prepared to work with someone other than a real estate agent because there was a terrible communication gap between me and VU. At times, I felt patronized, ignored or simple "dealt with." My perception was that if I'd had a real estate agent to protect my interests, I would have received better customer service, professionalism, and courtesy from VU. My opinion is that I did not get the appropriate communication that I deserved. I was left very confused, stressed, and felt completely "out of the loop" during almost the entire process and was even told once to not contact them, they'd call me.

Although the overall process, when looked at as a whole, was a fairly quick process lasting approximately 2-3 months and actually saved me closing costs in the end ... I believe it could have been handled a lot more professionally and cost me much less stress had better communication taken place. I did not appreciate being "left in the dark" until closing, unless I badgered the agents for information. I did not like feeling like I was clueless and did not feel like an appreciated customer. I liked Jeffrey but we did struggle throughout this process. To give him credit, I did have an unusual case so I am sure that caused him much undue stress as well.

I'm thrilled with my new home and am happy the process is complete. Thanks to all who worked on my case (I'm sure they are thrilled it's over as well!) ;)

With Dave and his assistants...Molly Parker and Chris, whom I have called by phone excessively at times ... I think, I have never felt that I was being tolerated or that I was a "Bother" or nuisance to them. They were always cordial, attentive, and eager to help. That is hard to come by these days. They all come across as people who love their work and love to help people. I have not always been able to reflect those qualities in several jobs I have held in the past. I have learned a lot from them, and with what I have learned, I can help others and even recommend them to Dave Munns.
I am not one to lay it on thick, but I am simply very happy with the process and outcome of my home purchase through " Dave Munns and Veterans United."

I can't say enough about Stuart Timmerman Waters and everyone else and Veterans United. I called Stuart months ago when we were already in the process of buying another house (with an FHA loan). Stuart was the first person to tell me that indeed we did qualify for a VA home loan! This was a huge relief to us, as all of the local lenders had told us that we no longer qualified.Stuart was clearly knowledgeable about loans and the real estate process. But he was also very friendly and easy to talk to, someone I wanted to do business with: a real professional. A few months later another house came on the market and I immediately contacted him.

Stuart led us through the whole process, step by step, answering any questions along the way with perfect ease, friendliness and accuracy. He made everything easy. He never let our loan process fall behind at all; I can only imagine how many other clients he was working with at the time, but he always made us feel like we were his only clients. He was always there if we needed him to answer a question, and he was great about following up with us all the time, so we constantly felt that we knew exactly what was going on and where we stood. It was a long process and it would have been easy to feel "lost in the shuffle," but with Stuart we never did.

I should also mention that there was an added bit of pressure with this transaction due to the seller, who was very emotional about leaving her house. She placed numerous demands on all of us throughout the process that undoubtedly taxed everyone. Every time I shared her issues with him, Stuart's response was one of genuine concern and understanding. He accepted it as something else that he needed to take responsibility for and then saw to it that it, too, was remedied.

From what I understand, a number of people in the Cincinnati area are going without VA home loans because there are not very many lenders with expertise in veterans' home loans. I have been sharing my experience with Veterans United Home Loans with everyone we know and will continue to do so for years to come. If I could open a branch office here myself, I would.

Overall the one thing that they could use a little work on is methods of communications. There were a few times were there were open items that I was able to resolve just by calling the Lawyer or other parties. I feel like they relied on email too heavily. Granted I did not see what was going on behind the scenes so this could be really off base. I would also have liked to be kept more in the loop on things that were happening behind the scenes. There was a possible hold up on the funding side the Friday before my Monday closing. Granted everything worked out in the long run but it would have been nice to know. A possible solution would be explain the timeline. I am sure there is an explaination somewhere in the millions of documents we had to go through but if that was explained to us ahead of time It would be helpful. (It very well could have been explained to us and I just forgot). Overall the team was excellent and easy to work with. The two things mentioned above are extreemly minor and I would recomend this team to anyone looking for a new home. Mikes (Both of them), Adam, and Shannon were awesome. The professionalism and politeness were reassuring everytime I called. Even with my really dumb questions. I cant express enough how comfortable they made me feel with this huge life decision.

The whole adventure of buying a home was simplified with Veterans United help. The people we worked with were just fantastic. We were able to maintain close contact with Aimee Hall and Amanda Park every step of the way. They were positive, friendly, and courteous. Our real estate agent, Laurie Tornga was super. She was very patient in our home search and was eager to continue showing us homes until we found the home for us. I can't imagine doing on my own what these three women did for us throughout the entire process.
