

It was good over all

Underwriter was still asking for documents the day before closing because they could not follow directions or read the notes on the loan. First loan team had to get fired because they went AWOL and would not respond to anything. Had to pester loan officer for a closing amount to make the transfer. Giving a closing amount 24hrs prior to closing is unacceptable as most banks can take 1-3 days to complete a wire transfer. Additionally, the loan officer was not responsive until the final hour when we were close to closing and they realized everything was teetering on the edge.I had none of these issues when using homestar on my last home. It added a ton of uncertainty and extra stress to the process. I will tell everyone i know getting a VA loan to run away from VU.

Recommend an initial call to explain how the app works and what the "To Dos" are. I had to send an email to have someone explain the "To Dos" even though they were self explained. Still need someone to guide me through it in the beginning, and once I was used to them, I was good.
