Fees, fees, and more fees! Veterans United just kept adding more fees. We were NEVER asked to authorize a loan rate lock, but they did it at a higher rate than nationally advertised VA mortgage rates and then kept extending that high rate with additional fees every few days! Look elsewhere for lower closing costs and mortgage imitation fees!!!

My loan specialist Travis Ward and his team went above and beyond and where more than I could ask for in my first home buying experience. As a first time buyer, you could imagine how many questions and concerns I had, and never did I feel Like i was alone in the process. As my wife and I considered buying a house we had some choices for mortgage companies, but we decided to go with Veteran's United because our previous home was bought with them. We had an excellent experience the first time so we decided to go with them again, and it went just as great as the first time. I would like to give a special shoutout to Hannah Wansing (previous loan officer) and Sarah Johnson (loan coordinator) as well. None of this would have been possible without them either!
It was a challenge going thru the loan process with Veterans United. But, well worth the experience. The loan officers ( Kimberly and Amber) assigned to me made a complicated process seem like a walk in the park. LOL! There was tons of paperwork to docu-sign and a mountain of documents needed to prove who I was and inspections on my future home to assure the homes' safety and worth. In the end, I was approved for my dream home with an awesome 3.5% interest rate. Their assistance didn't end there. They made sure my dream home would not make me house-poor by keeping my debt-to-income ratio in line. I had to be debt-free (including credit cards) to make the numbers even out.
The team was by far the best I or anyone could have asked for. They understood my concerns and helped me understand the process step by step. I would highly recommend them to everyone that needs or wants to purchase a home.
