Entire process was a fiasco. Had I not made specific promises, I would have cancelled the refinancing process. Any future refinancing will NOT be with veterans united. Funding was originally to be on the 26th of Aug. Due to veterans uniped's policies, full funding will not occur until the 26th of Oct. I was required to pay the pest control in advance. veterans united required the title company to pay it also. It is obvious that your company does not have the professionalism to wire funds as companies such as Freedom Mortgage has.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Johnnie,
I’m truly sorry to hear that your refinancing experience was such a frustrating process. It sounds like the delays with funding and the issues around the pest control payment really caused some unnecessary stress, and that’s not at all the experience we want for our clients. Waiting two extra months for full funding after expecting it in August is a significant inconvenience, and I understand how that could lead to frustration, especially when you've had smoother experiences elsewhere.
The duplicate payment situation with the pest control is another frustration that shouldn’t have happened. I’d like to dig into what caused these delays and payment confusion to see what went wrong and if there’s anything we can clarify or address.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my client advocate team directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com if you’d like to chat more about your experience or if there's anything else we can do for you.

Everyone behind this scenes worked diligently to make this quick home buying experience seamless. I am beyond impressed with Veterans United through both of my purchases. Thanks to all the men and women that made my dream home possible!

Well when this journey started a little over 6 months ago once we were into it there really was no turning back so glad to have had to help from my son and daughter-in-law and my grandson-in-law all of them helping me to get this home I am speechless thank you so much thank you thank you for doing this for my family Donald Stapleton.

A commercial would be much better LOL!
Seriously, stay away from those such as iFreedom (or formerly known as: for a reason). I learned my nightmare lesson with them when I bought my first house with my VA loan. With Veterans U, I truly gained a lot of knowledge this time around. Always thought it was just lenders behind the scenes. Had no clue of underwriters (their nightmares beyond nightmares). They will help assist with the set-up of utilities, etc. More importantly as a Disabled Vet, depending on your rating, they will make certain that you receive the benefits that you deserve (no property/city tax, etc).
They go above and beyond!
Go with someone who truly specializes in VA loans. Go with Eric Johnson and Team!

Thanks to everyone

Everyone was very helpful and nice. I was kept in the loop with every update and change. Every question I had was answered. Absolutely amazing team!

I was a nervous wreck for a while, but the team kept assuring me that all was well. In the end, they were right. I appreciate everyone and everything they did for me

The team at Veterans United has been awesome and fought hard for me to secure my loan and close on my new home. I appreciate the time and effort put forth for those who have served this great country, there is no better honor than to help and serve those who have served.
